¹ I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.

² Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

²⁶ And she said, Oh my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman that stood by you here, praying unto the LORD.

And he said,] I will love you, O LORD, my strength. ² The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. ³ I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies. ⁴ The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. ⁵ The sorrows of sheol surrounded me: the snares of death confronted me. ⁶ In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

²² For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto you. ²³ O love the LORD, all you his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays the proud doer.

³ O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. ⁴ I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

¹⁹ But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. ²⁰ Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

³³ For the LORD hears the poor, and despises not his prisoners.

¹³² Look upon me, and be merciful unto me, as you do unto those that love your name.

³³ And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

²⁴ Until now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

¹⁹ We love him, because he first loved us.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
