¹ Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

¹² Restore unto me the joy of your salvation; and uphold me with a free spirit.

²³ Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

¹ The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

²⁸ Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. ³⁰ For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

⁴ For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. ³³ They answered him, We are Abraham's descendants, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free? ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. ³⁵ And the servant abides not in the house forever: but the Son abides ever. ³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

¹⁰ Now therefore why test God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

¹⁴ For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.

¹⁸ Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.

³ So then if, while her husband lives, she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband dies, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she is married to another man.

⁶ But now we are delivered from the law, being dead to that in which we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

²² For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

¹³ Watch, stand fast in the faith, be men, be strong.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

⁴ And because of false brethren brought in unawares, who came in secretly to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

²⁵ But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

⁹ But now, after you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

²⁶ But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

³¹ So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

¹³ For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

²⁷ Only let your manner of life be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

¹⁶ Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: ¹⁷ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. ¹⁸ Let no man deceive you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ And not holding the Head, from whom all the body by joints and ligaments having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God. ²⁰ Therefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances, ²¹ (Touch not; taste not; handle not; ²² Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

⁸ For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

¹⁵ Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

⁶ But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

⁸ The Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while the first tabernacle was yet standing: ⁹ Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; ¹⁰ Which stood only in foods and drinks, and various washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. ¹¹ But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward. ³⁶ For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise. ³⁷ For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. ³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

¹⁶ As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²⁵ But that which you have already hold fast till I come.

³ Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
