23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to slay you.
24 And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when you are come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean you by this service?
27 That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshiped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
Exodus 12:43-49
43 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no foreigner eat of it:
44 But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
45 A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.

12 They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in its appointed time, that man shall bear his sin.

Deuteronomy 16:1-8
1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.
