¹ Now concerning the things of which you wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

⁶ And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart; for I also have kept you from sinning against me: therefore I permitted you not to touch her.

⁹ Let your eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch you? and when you are thirsty, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

²⁹ So is he that goes in to his neighbor's wife; whosoever touches her shall not be innocent.

¹⁰ His disciples said unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. ¹¹ But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, only they to whom it is given.

⁸ I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

²⁶ I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. ²⁷ Are you bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

³⁷ Nevertheless he that stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so decreed in his heart that he will keep her his virgin, does well. ³⁸ So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her not in marriage does better.
