¹ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

¹⁵ Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother. ¹⁶ But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. ¹⁷ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto you as a heathen man and a tax collector.

¹⁴ And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked crime, O you Jews, reason would that I should bear with you: ¹⁵ But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look you to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.

³⁸ Therefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen who are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them charge one another.

² Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

⁶ But brother goes to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. ⁷ Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded?

³³ For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do you.

¹⁵ I beseech you, brethren, (you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
