⁷ And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine; yea, their children shall see it, and rejoice, their heart shall be glad in the LORD.

¹⁹ For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him.'

³⁴ And portions were taken unto them from before him; but Benjamin's portion was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.

¹ And Hannah prayed, and said: my heart exulteth in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD; my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in Thy salvation.

⁵ (13:6) But as for me, in Thy mercy do I trust; my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.

⁷ The LORD is my strength and my shield, in Him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my song will I praise Him.

¹⁹ The living, the living, he shall praise Thee, as I do this day; the father to the children shall make known Thy truth.

¹⁴ And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like young grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and He will have indignation against His enemies.

³⁹ and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me for ever; for the good of them, and of their children after them;

¹⁸ Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will exult in the God of my salvation.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion, shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

¹⁵ The LORD of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like the basins, like the corners of the altar.

¹⁷ For how great is their goodness, and how great is their beauty! Corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maids.

⁴⁷ And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

²² And ye therefore now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

¹³ But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine. ¹⁴ But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, saying, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words. ¹⁵ For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day, ¹⁶ but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel: ¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: ¹⁸ Yea and on My servants and on My handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

²⁶ Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced, Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope:

³⁹ For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

³³ that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he raised up Jesus, as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

¹⁸ And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord,

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

⁸ whom not having known ye love, on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
