¹ And a great sign was seen in heaven; a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars,

³¹ Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

¹¹ (84:12) For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD giveth grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

² Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;

¹⁰ Who is she that looketh forth as the dawn, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, terrible as an army with banners?

¹⁴ But Zion said: 'The LORD hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.' ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. ¹⁶ Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me. ¹⁷ Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee. ¹⁸ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride. ¹⁹ For thy waste and thy desolate places and thy land that hath been destroyed - surely now shalt thou be too strait for the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. ²⁰ The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears: 'The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.' ²¹ Then shalt thou say in thy heart: 'Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? And who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?' ²² Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and set up Mine ensign to the peoples, and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. ²³ And kings shall be thy foster-fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD, for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.

⁵ For thy Maker is thy husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and the Holy One of Israel is thy Redeemer, the God of the whole earth shall He be called. ⁶ For the LORD hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit; and a wife of youth, can she be rejected? saith thy God. ⁷ For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great compassion will I gather thee.

¹ Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. ² For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but upon thee the LORD will arise, and His glory shall be seen upon thee. ³ And nations shall walk at thy light, and kings at the brightness of thy rising. ⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: they all are gathered together, and come to thee; thy sons come from far, and thy daughters are borne on the side.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. ²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, Neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

³ Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the open hand of thy God.

¹⁹ (2:21) And I will betroth thee unto Me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in compassion. ²⁰ (2:22) And I will betroth thee unto Me in faithfulness; and thou shalt know the LORD.

¹⁶ And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people; for they shall be as the stones of a crown, glittering over His land.

² (3:20) But unto you that fear My name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.

³⁸ Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, Teacher, we would see a sign from thee.

³⁰ and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

²⁵ and the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

¹¹ and there shall be great earthquakes, and in diverse places famines and pestilences, and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven.

²⁵ And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows,

²⁹ He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice; this my joy therefore is made full.

¹⁹ And I will show wonders in the heaven above, And signs on the earth beneath, Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:

²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no distinction,

¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

² For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy; for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

²⁷ For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.

¹⁴ But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it, ²⁶ that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, ²⁷ that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

³² This mystery is great; but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.

¹¹ For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world,

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks are seven churches.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

³ And there was seen another sign in heaven; and behold, a great fiery red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems.

¹ And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having seven plagues, which are the last, for in them is finished the wrath of God.

¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb.
