² The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

⁵ But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even unto His habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;

⁶ but I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name might be there; and have chosen David to be over My people Israel.

⁶⁷ Moreover He abhorred the tent of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim; ⁶⁸ But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which He loved. ⁶⁹ And He built His sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which He hath founded for ever.

¹³ For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation: ¹⁴ 'This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

³² What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of His people take refuge.

³² (3:5) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as the LORD hath said, and among the remnant those whom the LORD shall call.
