⁷ He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses.

⁹ And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so. ¹⁰ And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good.

⁸ And with the blast of Thy nostrils the waters were piled up - the floods stood upright as a heap; the deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.

¹³ And it shall come to pass, when the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, even the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand in one heap.'

¹³ He cleaved the sea, and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand as a heap.

⁶ Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains. ⁷ At Thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of Thy thunder they hasted away - ⁸ The mountains rose, the valleys sank down - unto the place which Thou hadst founded for them; ⁹ Thou didst set a bound which they should not pass over, that they might not return to cover the earth.

²⁹ When He gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not transgress His commandment, when He appointed the foundations of the earth;

²² Fear ye not Me? saith the LORD; Will ye not tremble at My presence? Who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, an everlasting ordinance, which it cannot pass; and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it.
