²¹ (22:22) Save me from the lion's mouth; yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen do Thou answer me.

²² God who brought them forth out of Egypt is for them like the lofty horns of the wild-ox.

¹⁷ His firstling bullock, majesty is his; and his horns are the horns of the wild-ox; with them he shall gore the peoples all of them, even the ends of the earth; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

⁹ Will the wild-ox be willing to serve thee? Or will he abide by thy crib? ¹⁰ Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

⁷ And the wild-oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be drunken with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

⁵³ When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me; but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

⁵⁹ They took up stones therefore to cast at him; but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

³⁰ I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh; and he hath nothing in me,

²⁷ for of a truth against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ Him did God exalt with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins. ³² And we are his witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might me fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁸ Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
