⁷ Who raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the needy out of the dunghill;

⁷ The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich; He bringeth low, He also lifteth up. ⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dung-hill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory; for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and He hath set the world upon them.

¹⁴ (24:15) After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.

⁸ Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto My servant David: Thus saith the LORD of hosts: I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over My people, over Israel. ⁹ And I have been with thee whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a great name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.

⁸ And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself therewith; and he sat among the ashes.

¹¹ So that He setteth up on high those that are low, and those that mourn are exalted to safety.

¹⁵ But He saveth from the sword of their mouth, even the needy from the hand of the mighty. ¹⁶ So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

⁶ He preserveth not the life of the wicked; but giveth to the poor their right. ⁷ He withdraweth not His eyes from the righteous; but with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.

¹⁵ (22:16) My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my throat; and Thou layest me in the dust of death.

⁶ (75:7) For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the wilderness, cometh lifting up. ⁷ (75:8) For God is judge; He putteth down one, and lifteth up another.

⁴¹ Yet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock.

¹⁹ Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise - awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust - for Thy dew is as the dew of light, and the earth shall bring to life the shades.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I the LORD have spoken and have done it.'

²⁶ (21:31) thus saith the Lord GOD: The mitre shall be removed, and the crown taken off; this shall be no more the same: that which is low shall be exalted, and that which is high abased. ²⁷ (21:32) A ruin, a ruin, a ruin, will I make it; this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is, and I will give it him.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence. ³ And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

⁵² He hath put down princes from their thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree. ⁵³ The hungry he hath filled with good things, And the rich he hath sent empty away.

³¹ he foreseeing this spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye now see and hear.

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, did not God choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?

²¹ which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
