¹³ The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

³ Multiply not exceeding proud talk; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth; for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

⁴ (5:5) For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee. ⁵ (5:6) The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

¹⁰ O ye that love the LORD, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked.

³¹ The mouth of the righteous buddeth with wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut off.

⁶ By mercy and truth iniquity is expiated; and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

¹⁸ Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

¹⁵ Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

¹⁷ and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath; for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.'

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.

²² abstain from every form of evil.

¹⁹ Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his; and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.

⁵ Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another. Gird yourselves with humility, for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
