⁴ Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, that should betray him—

²⁸ And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said: 'Why art thou come down? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy presumptuousness, and the naughtiness of thy heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.' ²⁹ And David said: 'What have I now done? Was it not but a word?'

⁴ Again, I considered all labour and all excelling in work, that it is a man's rivalry with his neighbour. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

² Now Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place; for Jesus oft-times resorted thither with his disciples. ³ Judas then, having received the band of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. ⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them, Whom seek ye? ⁵ They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
