³⁰ He delivereth him that is innocent, yea, thou shalt be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.

²⁶ And the LORD said: 'If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will forgive all the place for their sake.' ²⁷ And Abraham answered and said: 'Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes. ²⁸ Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous; wilt Thou destroy all the city for lack of five?' And He said: 'I will not destroy it, if I find there forty and five.' ²⁹ And he spoke unto Him yet again, and said: 'Peradventure there shall be forty found there.' And He said: 'I will not do it for the forty's sake.' ³⁰ And he said: 'Oh, let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Peradventure there shall thirty be found there.' And He said: 'I will not do it, if I find thirty there.' ³¹ And he said: 'Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord. Peradventure there shall be twenty found there.' And He said: 'I will not destroy it for the twenty's sake.' ³² And he said: 'Oh, let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once. Peradventure ten shall be found there.' And He said: 'I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.'

⁷ And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite: 'My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken of Me the thing that is right, as My servant Job hath. ⁸ Now therefore, take unto you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt- offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you; for him will I accept, that I do not unto you aught unseemly; for ye have not spoken of Me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.'

²⁰ (18:21) The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.

⁴ He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not taken My name in vain, and hath not sworn deceitfully.

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood.

¹² And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places, thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in.

¹ Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that doeth justly, that seeketh truth; and I will pardon her.

⁹ And now, I pray you, entreat the favour of God that He may be gracious unto us! - This hath been of your doing. - Will He accept any of your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

¹⁹ Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out? ²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your little faith; for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

¹⁵ And the evil spirit answered and said unto them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and mastered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul, thou must stand before Caesar; and lo, God hath granted thee all them that sail with thee.

⁸ I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

¹⁵ and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. ¹⁶ Confess your trespasses one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.
