¹⁵ But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,

⁷ The LORD did not set His love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people - for ye were the fewest of all peoples - ⁸ but because the LORD loved you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

²² For the LORD will not forsake His people for His great name's sake; because it hath pleased the LORD to make you a people unto Himself.

⁴ Howbeit the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever; for He hath chosen Judah to be prince, and in the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel; ⁵ and of all my sons - for the LORD hath given me many sons - He hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

¹ Listen, O isles, unto me, and hearken, ye peoples, from far: the LORD hath called me from the womb, from the bowels of my mother hath He made mention of my name;

⁵ And now saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, and that Israel be gathered unto Him - for I am honourable in the eyes of the LORD, and my God is become my strength -

⁵ Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

²⁶ yea, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

¹⁵ For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink, and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. ¹⁶ And many of the children of Israel shall be turn unto the Lord their God.

²¹ In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes; yea, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way; for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel;

² And as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

¹⁴ And he said, The God of our fathers hath appointed thee to know his will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear a voice from his mouth. ¹⁵ For thou shalt be a witness for him unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

⁵ through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake,

³⁰ and whom he foreordained, them he also called; and whom he called, them he also justified; and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

²⁴ even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

¹ Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

⁹ God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁴ but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

⁶ I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel,

⁵ having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

⁹ making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

¹¹ according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹² I thank him that enabled me, even Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he counted me faithful, appointing me to his service, ¹³ though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious; howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief, ¹⁴ and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁹ who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

¹⁰ And may the God of all grace, who called us unto his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a little while, himself perfect you, established, strengthened, grounded.
