¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him.

¹ And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him: 'I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be thou wholehearted.

²⁰ But Jeremiah said: 'They shall not deliver thee. Hearken, I beseech thee, to the voice of the LORD, in that which I speak unto thee; so it shall be well with thee, and thy soul shall live.

³¹ So the churches throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified, and, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, was multiplied.

²⁸ And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. ²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: ³⁰ and whom he foreordained, them he also called; and whom he called, them he also justified; and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.

¹⁶ I beseech you therefore, be ye imitators of me.

²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us; we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God.

¹ And working together with him we entreat also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain

¹ Now I Paul myself entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am of good courage toward you:

¹² I beseech you, brethren, become as I am, for I also am become as ye are. Ye did me no wrong:

¹ For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling,

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,

² and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

²⁷ Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ; that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel,

¹⁴ I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample. ¹⁸ For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God,

⁶ As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully supplied in all the will of God.

¹² and charging you, to the end that ye should walk worthily of God, who calleth you into his own kingdom and glory.

¹ Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, that ye would abound more and more. ² For ye know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

¹¹ To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power,

⁹ who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

¹⁰ not purloining, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus: ¹⁰ I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,

¹ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus,

²¹ make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹¹ Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul,

⁹ not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but contrariwise blessing, knowing that hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

¹⁰ And may the God of all grace, who called us unto his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a little while, himself perfect you, established, strengthened, grounded.

³ seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by glory and virtue,

⁵ And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote to thee a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
