³⁰ The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked, but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:

²¹ These things hast thou done, and should I have kept silence? Thou hadst thought that I was altogether such a one as thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set the cause before thine eyes.

² and saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁷ From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁵ and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

¹² And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

⁵ I tell you, Nay; but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

¹⁰ Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

¹⁸ And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.

¹⁶ who in the generations gone by suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways.

²³ For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. What therefore ye worship in ignorance, this I set forth unto you.

²¹ testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, so as to turn them back from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me. ¹⁹ Wherefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: ²⁰ but declared both to them of Damascus first and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

²⁸ And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting,

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

²³ for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God,

²⁵ whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God,

¹⁰ For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret; but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart, ¹⁹ who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But ye did not so learn Christ, ²¹ if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: ²² that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit, ²³ and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. ²⁵ Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor; for we are members one of another. ²⁶ Be ye angry, and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath: ²⁷ neither give place to the devil. ²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need. ²⁹ Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear. ³⁰ And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice: ³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave us.

⁶ Let no man deceive you with empty words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Be not ye therefore partakers with them, ⁸ For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light

¹¹ For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world,

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance: ¹⁵ but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living,

³ For the time of life past sufficeth us to work the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:
