¹⁸ But those thynges whych procede out of the mouth, come forth from the hert, & they defyle the man.

³ The wordes of hys mouth are vnryghteous, and full of disceate: he hath left of to behaue hym selfe wysely and to do good.

³² The lyppes of the ryghteous are occupyed in acceptable thynges, but the mouth of the vngodly taketh them to the worst.

² The tonge of suche as be wyse, vseth knowledge a right, as for a folysh mouth it blabbeth out nothyng, but folyshnesse.

²⁸ The herte of the ryghtuouse studieth his answere afore. but the wycked mans mouthe spueth out myschefe.

³⁴ O generacion of vypers, how can ye speake good thinges, when ye youre selues are euyll? For out of the aboundance of the hert, the mouth speaketh.

¹¹ That whych goeth into the mouth, defyleth not the man: but that which commeth out of the mouth, defyleth the man.

²² He sayeth vnto hym: Of thyne awne mouth, wyll I iugde the, thou euyll seruaunt. Knewest thou that I am a strayte man, takynge vp that I layde not downe, & reapynge that I dyd not sowe?

⁶ and the tonge is fyre, euen a world of wyckednes. So is the tonge set amonge oure membres, that it defyleth the whole body, and setteth a fyre all that we haue of nature, and is it selfe set a fyre euen of hell. ⁷ All the natures of beastes, and of byrdes, and of serpentes, & thinges of the see are meked and tamed of the nature of man. ⁸ But the tonge can no man tame. It is an vnruely euyll, full of deedly poyson. ⁹ Ther wt blesse we God the father, and therwith cursse wemen, which are made after the symilitude of God. ¹⁰ Out of one mouth proceadeth blessing and cursyng. My brethren, these thinges ought not so to be.

⁵ And ther was geuen vnto hym a mouth, that spake great thynges & blasphemyes, & power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlii. monethes. ⁶ And he opened his mouth vnto blasphemy agaynst God, to blaspheme his name & his tabernacle, & them that dwell in heauen.
