³⁸ speake vnto the children of Israel and byd them: that they make them gardes in the quarters of theyr garmentes thorow out their generacions, and put vpon the garde of the quarters a ryband of yelow sylke: ³⁹ And the garde shalbe vnto you to loke vpon it, that ye maye remembre all the commaundementes of the Lorde, and do them: and that ye seke not after youre awne hert or youre awne eyes: after the which ye vse to go a whoring:

¹⁸ Therfore shall ye put vp these my wordes in youre herte and in youre soule, & bynde them for a sygne vpon youre hande, that they maye be as a warninge betwene your eyes,

³ Let mercy and faythfulnes neuer go from the: bynde them about thy necke, and wryte them in the tables of thyne herte.

²¹ Put them vp together in thyne herte, and bynde them aboute thy neck.

³ Bynde them vpon thy fyngers, and wryte them in the table of thyne hert.

⁵ All theyr worckes do they for the intent, that they maye be sene of men. They set abroade their philateries, & make large the borders of their garmentes,

¹ Wherfore, we ought to geue the more ernest hede to the thynges that are spoken vnto vs, lest at any tyme we perysshe.
