¹⁷ And though some of the branches be broken off, and thou being a wilde Oliue tree, wast graft in for them, and made partaker of the roote, and fatnesse of the Oliue tree.

⁸ A land of wheate and barley, and of vineyards, and figtrees, and pomegranates: a land of oyle oliue and hony:

⁸ The trees went foorth to anoynt a King ouer them, and sayde vnto the oliue tree, Reigne thou ouer vs. ⁹ But the oliue tree said vnto them, Should I leaue my fatnes, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to aduance me aboue ye trees?

⁸ But I shall bee like a greene oliue tree in the house of God: for I trusted in the mercie of God for euer and euer.

¹¹ Shee stretched out her branches vnto the Sea, and her boughes vnto the Riuer. ¹² Why hast thou then broken downe her hedges, so that all they, which passe by the way, haue plucked her? ¹³ The wilde bore out of the wood hath destroyed it, and the wilde beastes of the fielde haue eaten it vp. ¹⁴ Returne we beseech thee, O God of hostes: looke downe from heauen and beholde and visite this vine, ¹⁵ And the vineyard, that thy right hand hath planted, and the young vine, which thou madest strong for thy selfe. ¹⁶ It is burnt with fire and cut downe: and they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

¹³ But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof.

¹¹ When the boughes of it are drie, they shalbe broken: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of none vnderstading: therefore hee that made them, shall not haue compassion of them, and he that formed them, shall haue no mercie on them.

¹⁶ The Lord called thy name, A greene oliue tree, faire, and of goodly fruite: but with noyse and great tumult he hath set fyre vpon it, and the branches of it are broken.

⁶ Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, As the vine tree, that is among the trees of the forest, which I haue giuen to the fire to be consumed, so will I giue the inhabitants of Ierusalem. ⁷ And I will set my face against them: they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall consume them: and ye shall know, that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them, ⁸ And when I make the lande waste, because they haue greatly offended, saith the Lord God.

¹⁶ Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice vnto the Lord, and made vowes.

³ And two oliue trees ouer it, one vpon the right side of the bowle, and the other vpon the left side thereof.

¹¹ But I say vnto you, that many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit downe with Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, in the kingdome of heauen. ¹² And the children of the kingdome shall be cast out into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁴³ Therefore say I vnto you, The kingdome of God shalbe taken from you, and shalbe giuen to a nation, which shall bring foorth the fruites thereof.

² Euery branch that beareth not fruite in me, he taketh away: and euery one that beareth fruite, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruite.

⁶ If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branche, and withereth: and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they burne.

³⁹ For the promise is made vnto you, and to your children, and to all that are a farre off, euen as many as the Lord our God shall call.

¹⁵ We which are Iewes by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

¹¹ Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called vncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands, ¹² That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world. ¹³ But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.

⁶ That the Gentiles should be inheriters also, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel,

¹³ And you which were dead in sinnes, and in the vncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, forgiuing you all your trespasses,

⁴ These are two oliue trees, and two candlestickes, standing before the God of the earth.
