⁵ Thou hast ouerflowed them: they are as a sleepe: in the morning he groweth like the grasse:

²⁶ They are passed as with the most swift ships, and as the eagle that flyeth to the pray.

⁸ He shall flee away as a dreame, and they shall not finde him, and shall passe away as a vision of the night,

¹⁶ Which were cut downe before the time, whose foundation was as a riuer that ouerflowed:

²⁰ Terrours shall take him as waters, and a tempest shall cary him away by night. ²¹ The East winde shall take him away, and he shall depart: and it shall hurle him out of his place.

²⁰ As a dreame when one awaketh! O Lord, when thou raisest vs vp, thou shalt make their image despised.

¹⁵ The dayes of man are as grasse: as a flowre of the fielde, so florisheth he. ¹⁶ For the winde goeth ouer it, and it is gone, and the place thereof shall knowe it no more.

⁷ Nowe therefore, beholde, the Lord bringeth vp vpon them the waters of the Riuer mightie and great, euen the King of Asshur with all his glory, and he shall come vp vpon all their riuers, and goe ouer all their banks, ⁸ And shall breake into Iudah, and shall ouerflowe and passe through, and shall come vp to the necke, and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanu-el.

⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against the altar, shalbe as a dreame or vision by night: euen all they that make the warre against it, and strong holdes against it, and lay siege vnto it. ⁸ And it shalbe like as an hungry man dreameth, and beholde, he eateth: and when he awaketh, his soule is emptie: or like as a thirsty man dreameth, and loe, he is drinking, and when he awaketh, beholde, he is faint, and his soule longeth: so shall the multitude of all nations be that fight against mount Zion.

⁶ A voyce saide, Crie. And he saide, What shall I crie? All flesh is grasse, and all the grace thereof is as the floure of the fielde.

⁷ Who is this, that commeth vp, as a flood, whose waters are mooued like the riuers? ⁸ Egypt riseth vp like the flood, and his waters are mooued like the riuers, and he sayth, I wil goe vp, and will couer the earth: I wil destroy the citie with them that dwell therein.

¹⁰ Againe hee that is rich, in that hee is made lowe: for as the flower of the grasse, shall he vanish away. ¹¹ For as when the sunne riseth with heate, then the grasse withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the goodly shape of it perisheth: euen so shall the rich man wither away in all his waies.

²⁴ For all flesh is as grasse, and all the glorie of man is as the flower of grasse. The grasse withereth, and the flower falleth away.
