¹ Judge me, O God, and defend my cause against the vnmercifull people: deliuer mee from the deceitfull and wicked man. ² For thou art the God of my strength: why hast thou put me away? why goe I so mourning, when the enemie oppresseth me? ³ Sende thy light and thy trueth: let them leade mee: let them bring mee vnto thine holy Mountaine and to thy Tabernacles. ⁴ Then wil I go vnto the altar of God, euen vnto the God of my ioy and gladnes: and vpon the harpe wil I giue thanks vnto thee, O God, my God. ⁵ Why art thou cast downe, my soule? and why art thou disquieted within mee? waite on God: for I will yet giue him thankes, he is my present helpe, and my God.

² The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.

⁵ And Dauid and al the house of Israel played before the Lord on all instruments made of firre, and on harpes, and on Psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

²⁰ Thou camest yesterday, and should I cause thee to wander to day and go with vs? I will goe whither I can: therefore returne thou and cary againe thy brethren: mercy and trueth be with thee.

³¹ Then one tolde Dauid, saying, Ahithophel is one of them that haue cospired with Absalom: and Dauid sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, turne the counsell of Ahithophel into foolishnesse.

²⁰ Then spake Absalom to Ahithophel, Giue counsell what we shall doe.

¹ So they brought in the Arke of God, and set it in the middes of the Tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it, and they offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before God.

²⁹ (But the Tabernacle of the Lord which Moses had made in the wildernesse, and the altar of burnt offring were at that season in the hie place at Gibeon.

⁹ And thou, Salomon my sonne, know thou the God of thy father, and serue him with a perfit heart, and with a willing minde: For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and vnderstandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seeke him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for euer.

⁶ Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

⁴ I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, and he heard me out of his holy mountaine. Selah.

⁶ Thou shalt destroy them that speake lyes: the Lord will abhorre the bloodie man and deceitfull.

⁸ The Lord shall iudge the people: Iudge thou me, O Lord, according to my righteousnesse, and according to mine innocencie, that is in mee.

⁴ Shew me thy waies, O Lord, and teache me thy paths. ⁵ Leade me foorth in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my saluation: in thee doe I trust all the day.

¹ A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

⁶ I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

⁷ The Lord is my strength and my shielde: mine heart trusted in him, and I was helped: therfore mine heart shall reioyce, and with my song will I praise him.

⁴ When I remembred these things, I powred out my very heart, because I had gone with the multitude, and ledde them into the House of God with the voyce of singing, and prayse, as a multitude that keepeth a feast. ⁵ Why art thou cast downe, my soule, and vnquiet within me? waite on God: for I will yet giue him thankes for the helpe of his presence. ⁶ My God, my soule is cast downe within me, because I remember thee, from the land of Iorden, and Hermonim, and from the mount Mizar.

⁹ I wil say vnto God, which is my rocke, Why hast thou forgotten mee? why goe I mourning, when the enemie oppresseth me?

⁹ But now thou art farre off, and puttest vs to confusion, and goest not forth with our armies.

⁴ Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.

³ He will send from heauen, and saue me from the reproofe of him that would swallowe me. Selah. God wil send his mercy, and his trueth.

⁸ Awake my tongue, awake viole and harpe: I wil awake early.

¹³ I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes, ¹⁴ Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction. ¹⁵ I will offer vnto thee the burnt offerings of fat rammes with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goates. Selah.

¹⁵ The mountaine of God is like the mountaine of Bashan: it is an high Mountaine, as mount Bashan. ¹⁶ Why leape ye, ye high mountaines? as for this Mountaine, God deliteth to dwell in it: yea, the Lord will dwell in it for euer.

⁴ Deliuer mee, O my God, out of the hande of the wicked: out of the hande of the euill and cruell man.

⁹ Cast mee not off in the time of age: forsake me not when my strength faileth.

²² Therefore will I praise thee for thy faithfulnesse, O God, vpon instrument and viole: vnto thee will I sing vpon the harpe, O Holy one of Israel. ²³ My lippes will reioyce when I sing vnto thee, and my soule, which thou hast deliuered.

⁷ But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

⁷ Will the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour?

⁶⁸ But chose the tribe of Iudah, and mount Zion which he loued.

² Take the song and bring forth the timbrel, the pleasant harpe with the viole.

¹ To him that excelleth upon Gittith. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. O Lord of hostes, howe amiable are thy Tabernacles!

¹⁴ Surely the Lord will not faile his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹¹ Light is sowen for the righteous, and ioy for the vpright in heart.

¹² What shall I render vnto the Lord for all his benefites toward me? ¹³ I will take the cup of saluation, and call vpon the Name of the Lord. ¹⁴ I will pay my vowes vnto the Lord, euen nowe in the presence of all his people. ¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saintes. ¹⁶ Beholde, Lord: for I am thy seruant, I am thy seruant, and the sonne of thine handmaide: thou hast broken my bondes. ¹⁷ I will offer to thee a sacrifice of prayse, and will call vpon the Name of the Lord. ¹⁸ I will pay my vowes vnto the Lord, euen nowe in the presence of all his people, ¹⁹ In the courtes of ye Lords house, euen in the middes of thee, O Ierusalem. ¹⁰⁵ NUN. Thy worde is a lanterne vnto my feete, and a light vnto my path.

¹³ For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying, ¹⁴ This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.

⁷ O Lord God the strength of my saluation, thou hast couered mine head in the day of battel.

¹⁰ Teach me to doe thy will, for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit leade me vnto the land of righteousnes.

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome. ⁶ In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.

²³ For the Lord will defende their cause, and spoyle the soule of those that spoyle them.

¹¹ For he that redeemeth them, is mightie: he will defend their cause against thee.

³¹ But they that waite vpon the Lord, shall renue their strength: they shall lift vp the wings as the eagles: they shall runne, and not be wearie, and they shall walke and not faint.

²⁴ Surely he shall say, In the Lord haue I righteousnesse and strength: he shall come vnto him, and all that prouoke him, shall be ashamed.

¹⁰ I will greatly reioyce in the Lord, and my soule shall be ioyfull in my God: for he hath clothed mee with the garments of saluation, and couered me with the robe of righteousnes: hee hath decked me like a bridegrome, and as a bride tireth herselfe with her iewels.

⁸ Reioyce not against me, O mine enemie: though I fall, I shall arise: when I shall sit in darkenesse, the Lord shalbe a light vnto me. ⁹ I will beare the wrath of the Lord because I haue sinned against him, vntill he pleade my cause, and execute iudgement for me: then will he bring me foorth to the light, and I shall see his righteousnesse.

²⁰ Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.

¹⁷ For the figtree shall not flourish, neither shall fruite be in the vines: the labour of the oliue shall faile, and the fieldes shall yeelde no meate: the sheepe shalbe cut off from the folde, and there shalbe no bullocke in the stalles. ¹⁸ But I will reioyce in the Lord: I will ioy in the God of my saluation.

¹² And I will strengthen them in the Lord, and they shall walke in his Name, sayth the Lord.

⁴ In it was life, and that life was the light of men.

¹⁷ For the Lawe was giuen by Moses, but grace, and trueth came by Iesus Christ.

¹¹ And not onely so, but we also reioyce in God through our Lord Iesus Christ, by whom we haue nowe receiued the atonement.

⁴ For I know nothing by my selfe, yet am I not thereby iustified: but he that iudgeth me, is the Lord.

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
