² And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding,

¹² Teach vs so to nomber our dayes, that we may apply our heartes vnto wisdome.

¹¹¹ Thy testimonies haue I taken as an heritage for euer: for they are the ioy of mine heart. ¹¹² I haue applied mine heart to fulfill thy statutes alway, euen vnto the ende.

¹ For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome.

¹⁷ Incline thine eare, and heare the wordes of the wise, and apply thine heart vnto my knowledge. ¹⁸ For it shalbe pleasant, if thou keepe them in thy bellie, and if they be directed together in thy lippes. ¹⁹ That thy confidence may be in the Lord, I haue shewed thee this day: thou therefore take heede. ²⁰ Haue not I written vnto thee three times in counsels and knowledge, ²¹ That I might shewe thee the assurance of the wordes of trueth to answere the wordes of trueth to them that sende to thee?

¹² Apply thine heart to instruction, and thine eares to the wordes of knowledge.

²⁵ All this haue I prooued by wisedome: I thought I will be wise, but it went farre from me.

⁹ All this haue I seene, and haue giuen mine heart to euery worke, which is wrought vnder the sunne, and I sawe a time that man ruleth ouer man to his owne hurt.

¹⁶ When I applied mine heart to knowe wisedome, and to behold the busines that is done on earth, that neither day nor night the eyes of man take sleepe,

³ Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.

⁹ He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
