²³ ALSO THESE THINGS PERTEINE TO THE WISE, It is not good to haue respect of any person in iudgement.

¹⁵ Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement. Thou shalt not fauour the person of the poore, nor honour the person of the mightie, but thou shalt iudge thy neighbour iustly.

¹⁷ Ye shall haue no respect of person in iudgement, but shall heare the small aswell as the great: yee shall not feare the face of man: for the iudgement is Gods: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring vnto me, and I will heare it.

¹⁹ Wrest not thou ye Law, nor respect any person, neither take rewarde: for the reward blindeth ye eyes of the wise, and peruerteth ye worde of ye iust.

⁷ Wherefore nowe let the feare of the Lord be vpon you: take heede, and do it: for there is no iniquitie with the Lord our God, neither respect of persons, nor receiuing of reward.

² How long wil ye iudge vniustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. ³ Doe right to the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the poore and needie. ⁴ Deliuer the poore and needie: saue them from the hand of the wicked.

⁴³ Who is wise that hee may obserue these things? for they shall vnderstand the louing kindnesse of the Lord.

⁶ To vnderstand a parable, and the interpretation, the wordes of ye wise, and their darke sayings.

⁵ It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to cause ye righteous to fall in iudgement.

¹⁷ Incline thine eare, and heare the wordes of the wise, and apply thine heart vnto my knowledge.

²¹ To haue respect of persons is not good: for that man will transgresse for a piece of bread.

¹ Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? the wisedome of a man doth make his face to shine: and the strength of his face shalbe changed. ² I aduertise thee to take heede to ye mouth of the King, and to the worde of the othe of God. ³ Haste not to goe forth of his sight: stand not in an euill thing: for he will doe whatsoeuer pleaseth him. ⁴ Where the word of ye King is, there is power, and who shall say vnto him, What doest thou? ⁵ He that keepeth the commandement, shall knowe none euill thing, and the heart of the wise shall knowe the time and iudgement.

⁹ Ephraim shall say, What haue I to doe any more with idoles? I haue heard him, and looked vpon him: I am like a greene firre tree: vpon me is thy fruite founde. [ (Hosea 14:10) Who is wise, and he shall vnderstande these things? and prudent, and he shall knowe them? for the wayes of the Lord are righteous, and the iust shall walke in them: but the wicked shall fall therein. ]

²⁴ Iudge not according to the appearance, but iudge righteous iudgement.

²⁰ Them that sinne, rebuke openly, that the rest also may feare. ²¹ I charge thee before God and the Lord Iesus Christ, and the elect Angels, that thou obserue these thinges without preferring one to an other, and doe nothing partially.

⁴ Are yee not partiall in your selues, and are become iudges of euill thoughts? ⁵ Hearken my beloued brethren, hath not God chosen the poore of this worlde, that they should be rich in faith, and heires of the kingdome which he promised to them that loue him? ⁶ But ye haue despised the poore. Doe not the riche oppresse you by tyrannie, and doe not they drawe you before the iudgement seates?

¹⁷ But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easie to be intreated, full of mercie and good fruites, without iudging, and without hipocrisie.

¹⁷ And if ye call him Father, which without respect of person iudgeth according to euery mans woorke, passe the time of your dwelling here in feare,
