⁹ And he made his graue with the wicked, and with the riche in his death, though hee had done no wickednesse, neither was any deceite in his mouth.

¹ Behold, my seruaunt: I will stay vpon him: mine elect, in whom my soule deliteth: I haue put my Spirit vpon him: he shall bring forth iudgement to the Gentiles. ² He shall not crie, nor lift vp, nor cause his voice to be heard in the streete. ³ A bruised reede shall hee not breake, and the smoking flaxe shall he not quench: he shall bring foorth iudgement in trueth.

⁵⁷ And when the euen was come, there came a riche man of Arimathea, named Ioseph, who had also himselfe bene Iesus disciple. ⁵⁸ He went to Pilate, and asked ye body of Iesus. Then Pilate commanded ye body to be deliuered. ⁵⁹ So Ioseph tooke the body, and wrapped it in a cleane linnen cloth, ⁶⁰ And put it in his new tombe, which he had hewen out in a rocke, and rolled a great stone to the doore of the sepulchre, and departed.

⁴³ Ioseph of Arimathea, an honorable counsellour, which also looked for the kingdome of God, came, and went in boldly vnto Pilate, and asked the body of Iesus. ⁴⁴ And Pilate marueiled, if he were already dead, and called vnto him the Centurion, and asked of him whether he had bene any while dead. ⁴⁵ And when he knewe the trueth of the Centurion, he gaue the body to Ioseph: ⁴⁶ Who bought a linnen cloth, and tooke him downe, and wrapped him in the linnen cloth, and laide him in a tombe that was hewen out of a rocke, and rolled a stone vnto the doore of the sepulchre:

⁵⁰ And beholde, there was a man named Ioseph, which was a counseller, a good man and a iust. ⁵¹ Hee did not consent to the counsell and deede of them, which was of Arimathea, a citie of the Iewes: who also himselfe waited for the kingdome of God. ⁵² He went vnto Pilate, and asked the body of Iesus, ⁵³ And tooke it downe, and wrapped it in a linnen cloth, and laide it in a tombe hewen out of a rocke, wherein was neuer man yet laide.

³⁸ And after these things, Ioseph of Arimathea (who was a disciple of Iesus, but secretly for feare of the Iewes) besought Pilate that he might take downe the bodie of Iesus. And Pilate gaue him licence. He came then and tooke Iesus body. ³⁹ And there came also Nicodemus (which first came to Iesus by night) and brought of myrrhe and aloes mingled together about an hundreth pound. ⁴⁰ Then tooke they the body of Iesus, and wrapped it in linnen clothes with the odours, as the maner of the Iewes is to burie. ⁴¹ And in that place where Iesus was crucified, was a garden, and in the garden a newe sepulchre, wherein was neuer man yet laid. ⁴² There then laide they Iesus, because of the Iewes Preparation day, for the sepulchre was neere.

⁴ And that he was buried, and that he arose the third day, according to the Scriptures,

²¹ For he hath made him to be sinne for vs, which knewe no sinne, that we should be made the righteousnesse of God in him.

¹⁵ For we haue not an hie Priest, which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all things tempted in like sort, yet without sinne.

²⁶ For such an hie Priest it became vs to haue, which is holy, harmelesse, vndefiled, separate from sinners, and made hier then the heauens:

²² Who did no sinne, neither was there guile found in his mouth.

⁵ And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
