⁶ If fire breake out, and catche in ye thornes, and the stackes of corne, or the standing corne, or the fielde be consumed, he that kindled the fire shall make full restitution.

¹⁸ When I shall say vnto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die, and thou giuest not him warning, nor speakest to admonish the wicked of his wicked way, that he may liue, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquitie: but his blood will I require at thine hande.

²⁰ Likewise if a righteous man turne from his righteousnesse, and commit iniquitie, I will lay a stumbling blocke before him, and he shall die, because thou hast not giuen him warning: he shall die in his sinne, and his righteous deedes, which he hath done, shall not be remembred: but his blood will I require at thine hand.

⁴ The weake haue ye not strengthened: the sicke haue ye not healed, neither haue ye bounde vp the broken, nor brought againe that which was driuen away, neither haue yee sought that which was lost, but with crueltie, and with rigour haue yee ruled them.

¹⁶ I will seeke that which was lost, and bring againe that which was driue away, and will binde vp that which was broken, and will strengthen the weake but I wil destroy the fat and the strong, and I will feede them with iudgement.

⁶ Are not fiue sparowes bought for two farthings, and yet not one of them is forgotten before God?

⁴ What man of you hauing an hundreth sheepe, if hee lose one of them, doeth not leaue ninetie and nine in the wildernesse, and goe after that which is lost, vntill he finde it? ⁵ And when he hath found it, he laieth it on his shoulders with ioye. ⁶ And when he commeth home, he calleth together his friendes and neighbours, saying vnto them, Reioyce with mee: for I haue founde my sheepe which was lost.

⁴ And said vnto him, Master, we foud this woman committing adulterie, euen in the very acte. ⁵ Now Moses in our Law commanded, that such should be stoned: what sayest thou therefore?

⁹ On the morow as they went on their iourney, and drew neere vnto the citie, Peter went vp vpon the house to pray, about the sixt houre.

²⁶ Wherefore I take you to recorde this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. ²⁷ For I haue kept nothing backe, but haue shewed you all the counsell of God.

⁶ And if it be of grace, it is no more of workes: or els were grace no more grace: but if it be of workes, it is no more grace: or els were worke no more worke.

¹³ Let vs not therefore iudge one another any more: but vse your iudgement rather in this, that no man put an occasion to fall, or a stumbling blocke before his brother.

¹ We which are strong, ought to beare the infirmities of the weake, and not to please our selues.

¹ It is heard certainely that there is fornication among you: and such fornication as is not once named among the Gentiles, that one should haue his fathers wife. ² And ye are puffed vp and haue not rather sorowed, that he which hath done this deede, might be put from among you.

¹³ But God iudgeth them that are without. Put away therefore from among your selues that wicked man.

³² Giue none offence, neither to the Iewes, nor to the Grecians, nor to the Church of God:

⁴ Euery man praying or prophecying hauing any thing on his head, dishonoureth his head. ⁵ But euery woman that prayeth or prophecieth bare headed, dishonoureth her head: for it is euen one very thing, as though she were shauen. ⁶ Therefore if the woman be not couered, let her also be shorne: and if it be shame for a woman to be shorne or shauen, let her be couered. ⁷ For a man ought not to couer his head: for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. ⁸ For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man. ⁹ For the man was not created for the womans sake: but the woman for the mans sake. ¹⁰ Therefore ought the woman to haue power on her head, because of the Angels. ¹¹ Neuertheles, neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord. ¹² For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman: but all things are of God. ¹³ Iudge in your selues, Is it comely that a woman pray vnto God vncouered? ¹⁴ Doeth not nature it selfe teach you, that if a man haue long heare, it is a shame vnto him? ¹⁵ But if a woman haue long heare, it is a prayse vnto her: for her heare is giuen her for a couering.

⁷ It suffreth all things: it beleeueth all things: it hopeth all things: it endureth all things.

¹² For our reioycing is this, the testimonie of our conscience, that in simplicitie and godly purenesse, and not in fleshly wisedome, but by the grace of God wee haue had our conuersation in the worlde, and most of all to you wardes.

¹⁴ Be not vnequally yoked with the infidels: for what fellowship hath righteousnesse with vnrighteousnesse? and what communion hath light with darkenesse? ¹⁵ And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath the beleeuer with the infidell? ¹⁶ And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the liuing God: as God hath said, I will dwell among them, and walke there: and I will be their God, and they shalbe my people.

³ But I feare least as the serpent beguiled Eue through his subtiltie, so your mindes shoulde be corrupt from the simplicitie that is in Christ.

¹⁵ And I will most gladly bestow, and will be bestowed for your soules: though the more I loue you, the lesse I am loued.

¹ Brethren, if a man be suddenly taken in any offence, ye which are spirituall, restore such one with the spirit of meekenes, considering thy selfe, least thou also be tempted. ² Beare ye one anothers burden, and so fulfill the Lawe of Christ.

²⁸ So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe. ²⁹ For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church.

¹⁰ That ye may alowe those things which are best, that ye may be pure, and without offence vntill the day of Christ,

⁶ That no man oppresse or defraude his brother in any matter: for the Lord is auenger of all such thinges, as we also haue tolde you before time, and testified.

¹⁴ We desire you, brethren, admonish them that are out of order: comfort ye feeble minded: beare with the weake: be pacient toward all men.

¹⁴ I will therefore that the yonger women marie, and beare children, and gouerne the house, and giue none occasion to the aduersary to speake euill.

¹² Wherfore lift vp your hands which hang downe, and your weake knees, ¹³ And make straight steppes vnto your feete, lest that which is halting, be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.

⁴ Mariage is honorable among all, and the bed vndefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will iudge.

⁶ But let him aske in faith, and wauer not: for hee that wauereth, is like a waue of the sea, tost of the winde, and caried away. ⁷ Neither let that man thinke that hee shall receiue any thing of the Lord. ⁸ A double minded man is vnstable in all his waies.

¹⁰ Out of one mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing: my brethren, these things ought not so to be.

¹⁹ Brethren, if any of you hath erred from the trueth, and some man hath conuerted him, ²⁰ Let him know that he which hath conuerted the sinner from going astray out of his way, shall saue a soule from death, and shall hide a multitude of sinnes.

²⁵ For ye were as sheepe going astray: but are nowe returned vnto the shepheard and Bishop of your soules.
