¹¹ Strengthened with all might through his glorious power, vnto all patience, and long suffering with ioyfulnesse,

⁶ Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.

² Thus I beholde thee as in the Sanctuarie, when I beholde thy power and thy glorie.

¹⁰ If thou bee faint in the day of aduersitie, thy strength is small.

²⁴ Surely he shall say, In the Lord haue I righteousnesse and strength: he shall come vnto him, and all that prouoke him, shall be ashamed.

⁸ But yee shall receiue power of the holy Ghost, when he shall come on you: and ye shalbe witnesses vnto me both in Hierusalem and in all Iudea, and in Samaria, and vnto the vttermost part of the earth.

⁴¹ So they departed from the Councill, reioycing, that they were counted worthy to suffer rebuke for his Name.

⁷ That is, to them which through patience in well doing, seeke glorie, and honour, and immortalitie, euerlasting life:

³ Neither that onely, but also we reioyce in tribulations, knowing that tribulation bringeth forth patience, ⁴ And patience experience, and experience hope, ⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the loue of God is shed abroade in our heartes by the holy Ghost, which is giuen vnto vs.

⁷ But we haue this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellencie of that power might be of God, and not of vs.

⁴ But in all things we approue our selues as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, ⁵ In stripes, in prisons, in tumults, in labours, ⁶ By watchings, by fastings, by puritie, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindnesse, by the holy Ghost, by loue vnfained,

⁹ And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproches, in necessities, in persecutions, in anguish for Christes sake: for when I am weake, then am I strong.

¹⁶ That he might graunt you according to the riches of his glorie, that ye may be strengthened by his Spirit in the inner man,

² With all humblenesse of minde, and meekenesse, with long suffering, supporting one an other through loue,

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

¹³ I am able to do al things through the helpe of Christ, which strengtheneth me.

³ That no man should be moued with these afflictions: for ye your selues knowe, that we are appointed thereunto. ⁴ For verily when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulations, euen as it came to passe, and ye knowe it.

¹ Thou therefore, my sonne, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Iesus. ² And what things thou hast heard of me, by many witnesses, ye same deliuer to faithfull men, which shalbe able to teache other also. ³ Thou therefore suffer affliction as a good souldier of Iesus Christ.

³⁴ For both ye sorowed with mee for my bonds, and suffered with ioy the spoyling of your goods, knowing in your selues howe that ye haue in heauen a better, and an enduring substance. ³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence which hath great recompense of reward. ³⁶ For ye haue neede of patience, that after ye haue done the will of God, ye might receiue the promise. ³⁷ For yet a very litle while, and hee that shall come, will come, and will not tary. ³⁸ Nowe the iust shall liue by faith: but if any withdrawe himselfe, my soule shall haue no pleasure in him.

³⁴ Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sworde, of weake were made strong, waxed valiant in battell, turned to flight the armies of the aliants. ³⁵ The women receiued their dead raised to life: other also were racked, and woulde not be deliuered, that they might receiue a better resurrection. ³⁶ And others haue bene tryed by mockings and scourgings, yea, moreouer by bondes and prisonment. ³⁷ They were stoned, they were hewen asunder, they were tempted, they were slaine with the sworde, they wandred vp and downe in sheepes skinnes, and in goates skinnes, being destitute, afflicted, and tormented: ³⁸ Whom the world was not worthie of: they wandered in wildernesses and mountaines, and dennes, and caues of the earth.

¹ Wherefore, let vs also, seeing that we are compassed with so great a cloude of witnesses, cast away euery thing that presseth downe, and the sinne that hangeth so fast on: let vs runne with patience the race that is set before vs, ² Looking vnto Iesus the authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, and despised the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God.

² My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations, ³ Knowing that ye trying of your faith bringeth forth patience, ⁴ And let patience haue her perfect worke, that ye may be perfect and entier, lacking nothing.

⁷ Be patient therefore, brethren, vnto the comming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman wayteth for the precious fruite of the earth, and hath long patience for it, vntill he receiue the former, and the latter rayne. ⁸ Be ye also patient therefore and settle your hearts: for ye comming of the Lord draweth neere.

⁶ And with knowledge, temperance: and with temperance, patience: and with patience, godlines:

²⁵ That is, to God only wise, our Sauiour, be glorie, and maiestie, and dominion, and power, both nowe and for euer, Amen.
