²² And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.

²⁴ For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, and a ielous God.

²⁸ And ye Lord hath rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and hath cast them into another land, as appeareth this day.

¹⁶ They prouoked him with strange gods: they prouoked him to anger with abominations. ¹⁷ They offred vnto deuils, not to God, but to gods whome they knew not: new gods that came newly vp, whome their fathers feared not. ¹⁸ Thou hast forgotten the mightie God that begate thee, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. ¹⁹ The Lord then sawe it, and was angrie, for the prouocation of his sonnes and of his daughters. ²⁰ And he said, I will hide my face from the: I will see what their ende shalbe: for they are a frowarde generation, children in who is no faith. ²¹ They haue moued me to ielousie with that which is not God: they haue prouoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will moue them to ielousie with those which are no people: I wil prouoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

⁷ So the children of Israel did wickedly in the sight of the Lord, and forgate the Lord their God, and serued Baalim, and Asheroth.

¹² Then the children of Israel againe committed wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord strengthened Eglon King of Moab against Israel, because they had committed wickednesse before the Lord.

¹ And the children of Israel began againe to do wickedly in the sight of the Lord when Ehud was dead.

⁹ But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)

³⁰ And Ahab the sonne of Omri did worse in ye sight of the Lord then al that were before him.

¹ And when Rehoboam had established the kingdome and made it strong, hee forsooke the Lawe of the Lord, and all Israel with him.

¹⁴ And he did euill: for hee prepared not his heart to seeke the Lord.

⁵⁸ And they prouoked him to anger with their high places, and mooued him to wrath with their grauen images.

³ A people that prouoked me euer vnto my face: that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense vpon brickes. ⁴ Which remaine among the graues, and lodge in the desarts, which eate swines flesh, and the broth of things polluted are in their vessels.

⁷ And I sayde, when shee had done all this, Turne thou vnto me: but she returned not, as her rebellious sister Iudah sawe. ⁸ When I sawe, howe that by all occasions rebellious Israel had plaied the harlot, I cast her away, and gaue her a bill of diuorcement: yet her rebellious sister Iudah was not afraied, but shee went also, and plaied the harlot. ⁹ So that for the lightnesse of her whoredome shee hath euen defiled the lande: for shee hath committed fornication with stones and stockes. ¹⁰ Neuerthelesse for all this, her rebellious sister Iudah hath not returned vnto mee with her whole heart, but fainedly, sayth the Lord. ¹¹ And the Lord said vnto me, The rebellious Israel hath iustified her selfe more then the rebellious Iudah.

⁴⁷ Yet hast thou not walked after their wayes, nor done after their abominations: but as it had bene a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more then they in all thy wayes. ⁴⁸ As I liue, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, neither shee nor her daughters, as thou hast done and thy daughters.
