¹ Moreouer, brethren, I woulde not that yee shoulde bee ignorant, that all our fathers were vnder that cloude, and all passed through that sea,

²¹ And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloude to leade them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to giue them light, that they might go both by day and by night. ²² He tooke not away the pillar of ye cloude by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

¹⁹ (And the Angel of God, which went before the hoste of Israel, remoued and went behinde them: also the pillar of the cloude went from before them, and stoode behinde them, ²⁰ And came betweene the campe of the Egyptians and the campe of Israel: it was both a cloude and darkenes, yet gaue it light by night, so that all the night long the one came not at the other) ²¹ And Moses stretched forth his hande vpon the Sea, and the Lord caused the sea to runne backe by a strong East winde all the night, and made the Sea dry land: for the waters were deuided. ²² Then the children of Israel went through the middes of the Sea vpon the drie ground, and the waters were a wall vnto them on their right hand, and on their left hand.

²⁹ But the children of Israel walked vpon dry land thorowe the middes of the Sea, and the waters were a wall vnto them on their right hande, and on their left.

³⁴ Then the cloud couered the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the glorie of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

¹⁵ And when the Tabernacle was reared vp, a cloude couered the Tabernacle, namely the Tabernacle of the Testimonie: and at euen there was vpon the Tabernacle, as the appearance of fire vntill the morning. ¹⁶ So it was alway: the cloude couered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. ¹⁷ And when the cloude was taken vp from the Tabernacle, then afterwarde the children of Israel iourneyed: and in the place where the cloude abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents. ¹⁸ At the commandement of the Lord the children of Israel iourneyed, and at the comandement of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloude abode vpon the Tabernacle, they lay still. ¹⁹ And when the cloude taryed stil vpon the Tabernacle a long time, the childre of Israel kept the watch of the Lord, and iourneyed not. ²⁰ So when the cloud abode a few dayes vpon the Tabernacle, they abode in their tents according to the comandement of ye Lord: for they iourneyed at the commandement of the Lord. ²¹ And though the cloud abode vpon the Tabernacle from euen vnto the morning, yet if the cloude was taken vp in the morning, then they iourneyed: whether by daye or by night the cloude was taken vp, then they iourneyed. ²² Or if the cloude taryed two dayes or a moneth, or a yeere vpon the Tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel abode still, and iourneyed not: but when it was taken vp, they iourneyed.

¹⁴ Then they shall say to the inhabitants of this land, (for they haue heard that thou, Lord, art among this people, and that thou, Lord, art seene face to face, and that thy cloude standeth ouer them, and that thou goest before them by day time in a pillar of a cloude, and in a pillar of fire by night)

⁸ And they departed from before Hahiroth, and went through the middes of the Sea into the wildernesse, and went three dayes iourney in the wildernesse of Etham, and pitched in Marah.

³³ Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tentes in, in fire by night, that ye might see what way to goe, and in a cloude by day.

²³ For the Lord your God dryed vp ye waters of Iorden before you, vntill ye were gone ouer, as the Lord your God did the red Sea, which hee dryed vp before vs, till we were gone ouer,

¹¹ For thou didest breake vp the Sea before them, and they went through the middes of the Sea on dry lande: and those that pursued them, hast thou cast into the bottomes as a stone, in the mightie waters: ¹² And leddest them in the day with a pillar of a cloude, and in the night with a pillar of fire to giue them light in the way that they went.

¹⁹ Yet thou for thy great mercies forsookest them not in the wildernesse: the pillar of the cloude departed not from them by day to leade them the way, neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way whereby they should goe.

⁶ He hath turned the Sea into drie land: they passe through the riuer on foote: there did we reioyce in him.

¹⁶ The waters sawe thee, O God: the waters sawe thee, and were afraide: yea, the depths trembled. ¹⁷ The cloudes powred out water: the heauens gaue a sounde: yea, thine arrowes went abroade. ¹⁸ The voyce of thy thunder was rounde about: the lightnings lightened the worlde: the earth trembled and shooke. ¹⁹ Thy way is in the Sea, and thy paths in the great waters, and thy footesteps are not knowen. ²⁰ Thou diddest leade thy people like sheepe by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹³ He deuided the Sea, and led them through: he made also the waters to stand as an heape. ¹⁴ In the day time also hee led them with a cloude, and all the night with a light of fire.

⁵³ Yea, he caried them out safely, and they feared not, and the Sea couered their enemies.

³⁹ He spred a cloude to be a couering, and fire to giue light in the night.

⁷ Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea. ⁸ Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen. ⁹ And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse. ¹⁰ And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie. ¹¹ And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.

³ The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe. ⁴ The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes. ⁵ What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

¹³ Which deuided the red Sea in two partes: for his mercie endureth for euer: ¹⁴ And made Israel to passe through the mids of it: for his mercie endureth for euer: ¹⁵ And ouerthrewe Pharaoh and his hoste in the red Sea: for his mercie endureth for euer:

¹¹ And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfie thy soule in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watred garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters faile not. ¹² And they shalbe of thee, that shall builde the olde waste places: thou shalt rayse vp the foundations for many generations, and thou shalt be called the repairer of the breach and the restorer of the pathes to dwell in. ¹³ If thou turne away thy foote from the Sabbath, from doing thy will on mine holy day, and call the Sabbath a delite, to consecrate it, as glorious to the Lord, and shalt honour him, not doing thine owne wayes, nor seeking thine owne will, nor speaking a vaine word,

²⁰ Our fathers worshipped in this mountaine, and ye say, that in Ierusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

¹¹ After, he receiued the signe of circumcision, as the seale of the righteousnesse of ye faith which he had, when he was vncircumcised, that he should be the father of all them that beleeue, not being circumcised, that righteousnesse might be imputed to them also,

²¹ For if God spared not the naturall branches, take heede, least he also spare not thee.

¹ Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.

³⁸ And if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

²⁹ And if ye be Christes, then are ye Abrahams seede, and heires by promise.

²⁹ By faith they passed through the red sea as by drie land, which when the Egyptians had assayed to doe, they were swallowed vp.

² And I sawe as it were a glassie sea, mingled with fire, and them that had gotten victorie of the beast, and of his image, and of his marke, and of the number of his name, stand at the glassie sea, hauing the harpes of God, ³ And they sung the song of Moses the seruant of God, and the song of the Lambe, saying, Great and marueilous are thy workes, Lord God almightie: iust and true are thy wayes, King of Saints.
