¹ Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. ² Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. ³ From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised. ⁴ The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. ⁵ Who is like unto the LORD our God, that hath his seat on high, ⁶ That humbleth himself to behold [the things that are] in heaven and in the earth? ⁷ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the needy from the dunghill; ⁸ That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. ⁹ He maketh the barren woman to keep house, [and to be] a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

¹ Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: praise is comely for the upright. ² Give thanks unto the LORD with harp: sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.

²² The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be condemned.

³⁶ The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, ye angels of his: ye mighty in strength, that fulfill his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

¹ Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

¹⁶ From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away, woe is me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

¹³ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.

¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun: for he shall come as a rushing stream, which the breath of the LORD driveth.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name is great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense is offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the LORD of hosts.

⁹ For thou, LORD, art most high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

² The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the peoples.

¹³ Let them praise the name of the LORD; for his name alone is exalted: his glory is above the earth and heaven.

¹⁵ Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

¹⁷ All the nations are as nothing before him; they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

²² [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

¹ Thus saith the LORD; The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

¹¹ Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

²⁶ There is none like unto God, O Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heaven for thy help, And in his excellency on the skies.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

⁶ For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty is like unto the LORD,

⁸ O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto thee, O JAH? and thy faithfulness is round about thee.

¹⁹ The LORD hath established his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

⁵ And a throne shall be established in mercy, and one shall sit thereon in truth, in the tent of David; judging, and seeking judgment, and swift to do righteousness.

¹⁸ To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

²⁵ To whom then will ye liken me, that I should be equal [to him]? saith the Holy One.

⁶ There is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

¹⁸ Behold, he putteth no trust in his servants; and his angels he chargeth with folly:

¹⁵ Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

⁴ The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD, his throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

⁶ For though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the haughty he knoweth from afar.

² Above him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

¹⁵ For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

² For all these things hath mine hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.

⁷ The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, he also lifteth up. ⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, he lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

¹⁴ After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.

⁸ Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over my people, over Israel: ⁹ and I have been with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a great name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.

⁸ And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat among the ashes.

¹¹ So that he setteth up on high those that be low; and those which mourn are exalted to safety.

¹⁵ But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, even the needy from the hand of the mighty. ¹⁶ So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

⁶ He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth to the afflicted [their] right. ⁷ He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings upon the throne he setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.

¹⁵ My Strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

⁶ For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, [cometh] lifting up. ⁷ But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and lifteth up another.

⁴¹ Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like a flock.

¹⁹ Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust: for thy dew is [as] the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

²⁶ thus saith the Lord GOD: Remove the mitre, and take off the crown: this [shall be] no more the same: exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high. ²⁷ I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [him].

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. ³ And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

⁵² He hath put down princes from [their] thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree. ⁵³ The hungry he hath filled with good things; And the rich he hath sent empty away.

³¹ he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left in Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear.

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world [to be] rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?

²¹ which also after a true likeness doth now save you, [even] baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ; ²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

⁴¹ And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

⁷ He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings upon the throne he setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.

¹⁶ Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, ¹⁰ and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth.

⁵ And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. ⁶ And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh; every one that heareth will laugh with me. ⁷ And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should give children suck? for I have borne him a son in his old age.

²¹ And Isaac entreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

²² And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. ²³ And she conceived, and bare a son: and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

⁵ They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry have ceased: yea, the barren hath borne seven; and she that hath many children languisheth.

⁶ God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

¹ Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

¹³ But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. ¹⁴ And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. ¹⁵ For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

²⁷ For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her which hath the husband.
