⁵ And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two he-goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

¹³ And if the whole congregation of Israel shall err, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which the LORD hath commanded not to be done, and are guilty; ¹⁴ when the sin wherein they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bullock for a sin offering, and bring it before the tent of meeting. ¹⁵ And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before the LORD: and the bullock shall be killed before the LORD. ¹⁶ And the anointed priest shall bring of the blood of the bullock to the tent of meeting: ¹⁷ and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, before the veil. ¹⁸ And he shall put of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the tent of meeting, and all the blood shall he pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting. ¹⁹ And all the fat thereof shall he take off from it, and burn it upon the altar. ²⁰ Thus shall he do with the bullock; as he did with the bullock of the sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven. ²¹ And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bullock: it is the sin offering for the assembly.

² Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bullock of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;

¹⁴ And he brought the bullock of the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock of the sin offering.

⁸ So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. ⁹ And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar: ¹⁰ but the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul from the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹¹ And the flesh and the skin he burnt with fire without the camp. ¹² And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons delivered unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about. ¹³ And they delivered the burnt offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar. ¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar. ¹⁵ And he presented the people’s oblation, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first. ¹⁶ And he presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.

²¹ And they brought seven bullocks; and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he-goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.

¹⁷ And they offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he-goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

²² And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering. ²³ And the seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a he-goat daily for a sin offering.

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and [as an offering] for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

²⁷ who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the [sins] of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself. ²⁸ For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, [appointeth] a Son, perfected for evermore.

⁵ Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me; ⁶ In whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hadst no pleasure: ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God. ⁸ Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins: ¹² but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; ¹³ from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet. ¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
