⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

¹⁷ For the LORD your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.

¹⁸ And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore askest thou after my name, seeing it is wonderful?

³² Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the travail seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers; and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. ⁷ I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me, Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee. ⁸ Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. ⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. ¹⁰ Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

³ Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, thy glory and thy majesty.

⁶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph. God, [even] God, the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, in righteousness.

⁷ In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace, till the moon be no more.

¹⁷ His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him happy.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD saith unto my lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. ² The LORD shall send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. ³ Thy people offer themselves willingly in the day of thy power: in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, thou hast the dew of thy youth. ⁴ The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

²³ I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

¹⁸ Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

²¹ A remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

¹ And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit: ² And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

⁶ And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. ⁷ And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. ⁸ And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the basilisk’s den. ⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

²¹ and I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. ²² And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; and he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

³ Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.

¹² LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.

²⁹ This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

²⁴ Only in the LORD, shall one say unto me, is righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come, and all they that were incensed against him shall be ashamed. ²⁵ In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

² For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

⁵ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

¹⁶ For thou art our father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O LORD, art our father; our redeemer from everlasting is thy name.

¹² For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and ye shall suck [thereof]; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.

⁵ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute judgment and justice in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The LORD is our righteousness.

²² How long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall encompass a man.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks: and threescore and two weeks, it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.

⁴ And he shall stand, and shall feed [his flock] in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. ⁵ And this [man] shall be [our] peace: when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

¹² and speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold, the man whose name is the Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: ¹³ even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass. ¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

²³ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.

²⁷ All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal [him].

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

³⁵ And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also that which is to be born shall be called holy, the Son of God.

¹¹ for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² The same was in the beginning with God.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁶ For of his fulness we all received, and grace for grace.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

³⁶ The word which he sent unto the children of Israel, preaching good tidings of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all)—

²⁸ Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in the which the Holy Ghost hath made you bishops, to feed the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; ² through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and let us rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but let us also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; ⁴ and patience, probation; and probation, hope: ⁵ and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost which was given unto us. ⁶ For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die. ⁸ But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath [of God] through him. ¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

¹⁹ to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: ²² and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

¹⁴ For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition, ¹⁵ having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the twain one new man, [so] making peace; ¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: ¹⁷ and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh: ¹⁸ for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.

²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, [I say], whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens. ²¹ And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciled

³ in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

⁸ but of the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

¹³ And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children which God hath given me. ¹⁴ Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

² to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; ³ without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a priest continually.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of the eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus,

¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ¹² No man hath beheld God at any time: if we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us: ¹³ hereby know we that we abide in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. ¹⁴ And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father hath sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁶ And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
