¹ Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:

⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

⁶ For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth. ⁷ The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all peoples: ⁸ but because the LORD loveth you, and because he would keep the oath which he sware unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹¹ But my people hearkened not to my voice; and Israel would none of me. ¹² So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, that they might walk in their own counsels. ¹³ Oh that my people would hearken unto me, that Israel would walk in my ways!

⁶ O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

⁴² For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant. ⁴³ And he brought forth his people with joy, [and] his chosen with singing.

⁸ But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend;

²³ Who is there among you that will give ear to this? that will hearken and hear for the time to come?

¹ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

¹⁶ Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; from the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD hath sent me, and his spirit. ¹⁷ Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. ¹⁸ Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

³ Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

⁷ A lion is gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations; he is on his way, he is gone forth from his place; to make thy land desolate, that thy cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.

¹⁰ Therefore fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

²⁷ But fear not thou, O Jacob my servant, neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, low, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. ²⁸ Fear not thou, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD; for I am with thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee with judgment, and will in no wise leave thee unpunished.

³⁴ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen [gathereth] her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

⁵ Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶ But if it is by grace, it is no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.

⁷ Wherefore, even as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye shall hear his voice, ⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the temptation in the wilderness,
