¹³ [This is] the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole [duty] of man.

¹² And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.

² Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

² that thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

¹² And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

²⁸ And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

¹⁰ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do thereafter: his praise endureth for ever.

¹³ He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. ¹⁴ The LORD increase you more and more, you and your children. ¹⁵ Blessed are ye of the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

¹¹ The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

⁷ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: [but] the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

²³ The fear of the LORD [tendeth] to life: and he [that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

¹⁷ Let not thine heart envy sinners: but [be thou] in the fear of the LORD all the day long:

³ I searched in mine heart how to cheer my flesh with wine, mine heart yet guiding [me] with wisdom, and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what it was good for the sons of men that they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.

⁷ For [thus it cometh to pass] through the multitude of dreams and vanities and many words: but fear thou God.

¹² For who knoweth what is good for man in [his] life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

¹² Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and prolong his [days], yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:

⁸ He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

⁵⁰ And his mercy is unto generations and generations On them that fear him.

¹⁷ Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, Give praise to our God, all ye his servants, ye that fear him, the small and the great.
