¹⁴ So that sin shall have no dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

⁷ Let Israel wait for the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy and plenteous redemption close to him. ⁸ And he shall ransom Israel from all his sins.

¹⁹ He will turn again, he will have mercy on us; he will subdue our iniquities; and will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ.

³⁶ If the Son therefore shall set you free, ye shall be free indeed.

¹⁹ ¶ Now we know that all that the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may submit themselves unto God. ²⁰ For by the deeds of the law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

¹⁶ Therefore by faith, that it might be by grace, to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to that which is of the law, but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

²⁰ Moreover the law entered that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound, ²¹ so that in the same manner as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus, the Christ, our Lord.

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

¹⁵ What then? shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? No, in no wise.

⁴ Likewise ye also, my brethren, are become dead to the law in the body of the Christ that ye should belong to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. ⁵ For while we were in the flesh, the affections of the sins which were by the law worked in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. ⁶ But now we are free from the law of death in which we were held, that we might serve in newness of Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. ⁷ ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? No, in no wise. But, I did not know sin except by the law; for neither would I have known lust if the law did not say, Thou shalt not covet. ⁸ Then sin, when there was occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of lust. For without the law sin was as if it were dormant. ⁹ So that without the law I lived for some time; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. ¹⁰ And I found that the same commandment, which was unto life, was mortal unto me. ¹¹ For sin, having had occasion, deceived me by the commandment and by it killed me.

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ, Jesus, has made me free from the law of sin and death.

¹² Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

⁶ And if by grace, then is it not by works; otherwise, the grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, then it is no longer grace; otherwise, the work is no longer work.

⁶ ¶ who also has made us able ministers of the new testament, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. ⁷ But if the ministry of death in the letter engraved in stones was glorious, so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance which glory was to fade away, ⁸ How shall not the ministry of the Spirit be for greater glory? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, much more shall the ministry of righteousness abound in glory.

²³ But before faith came, we were under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

⁴ but when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, ⁵ to redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

²¹ ¶ Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, have ye not heard the law?

¹⁸ But if ye are led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a people of his own, zealous of good works.

¹⁰ For this is the testament that I will ordain to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their soul and write them upon their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
