³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

¹⁹ Then Uzziah was angry and had a censer in his hand to burn incense; and in this his anger with the priests, the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, next to the altar of incense.

⁷ ¶ So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto the crown of his head. ⁸ And he took a potsherd to scratch himself with, and he was sitting among the ashes.

¹⁹ ¶ He is chastened also upon his bed with strong pain in all his bones, ²⁰ so that his life abhors bread and his soul dainty food. ²¹ His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out. ²² His soul shall draw near to the grave, and his life to those that would bury him.

² Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

⁹ ¶ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: my eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly. ¹⁰ For my life is spent with grief and my years with sighing: my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

⁸ Make me to hear joy and gladness that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

⁷ ¶ For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath we are troubled. ⁸ Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

³ For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as in a hearth.

⁵ By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones cleave to my skin.

⁵ Why should I chastise you any more? Ye will revolt more and more; every head is sick, and every heart faint. ⁶ From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in him; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

⁴⁰ Nun Let us search out our ways, and seek, and turn again to the LORD. ⁴¹ Nun Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens. ⁴² ¶ Nun We have rebelled and been disloyal; therefore thou hast not forgiven.
