² If the LORD had not been for us, when men rose up against us,

² and they rose up against Moses, with two hundred and fifty men of the sons of Israel, princes of the congregation, of the council, men of renown; ³ and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said unto them, We have had enough of you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them; why then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round about. ¹³ They opened their mouth upon me as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
