¹ ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, ² Let the sons of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed season. ³ In the fourteenth day of this month, between the two evenings, ye shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all its ordinance and according to all the laws thereof, shall ye keep it. ⁴ And Moses spoke unto the sons of Israel that they should keep the passover. ⁵ And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month between the two evenings in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the sons of Israel. ⁶ And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day; and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day; ⁷ and those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man; why are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the sons of Israel? ⁸ And Moses said unto them, Wait, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you. ⁹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ¹⁰ Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations should be unclean by reason of a dead body or be on a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD. ¹¹ The fourteenth day of the second month, between the two evenings they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. ¹² They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it; according to all the ordinance of the passover they shall keep it. ¹³ But the man that is clean and is not on a journey and forbears to keep the passover, that same soul shall be cut off from among his people; because he did not bring the offering of the LORD in his appointed season; that man shall bear his sin. ¹⁴ And if a stranger shall sojourn among you and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover and according to the laws thereof, so shall he do; ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger and for the natural of the land. ¹⁵ ¶ And on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle over the tent of the testimony; and in the evening there was upon the tabernacle, as it were, the appearance of fire until the morning. ¹⁶ So it was always: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. ¹⁷ And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the sons of Israel journeyed; and in the place where the cloud abode, there the sons of Israel pitched their tents. ¹⁸ At the commandment of the LORD the sons of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched camp; as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle, they rested. ¹⁹ And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the sons of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey. ²⁰ And so it was, when the cloud was a determined number of days upon the tabernacle, according to the commandment of the LORD they camped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. ²¹ And so it was that when the cloud remained from evening unto the morning, and in the morning the cloud was taken up, then they journeyed; or if it had remained during the day and the cloud was taken up by night, they journeyed. ²² Or if it was two days or a month or a year that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the sons of Israel camped and did not journey; but when it was taken up, they journeyed. ²³ At the commandment of the LORD they camped, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed, keeping the charge of the LORD, as the LORD had said by the hand of Moses.

² In the day of the first month, the first of the month shalt thou set up the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony.

¹ ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, ² This month shall be unto you the beginning of the months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. ³ Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month let each man take a lamb according to the families of the fathers, a lamb per family; ⁴ and if the household is too small and is not able to eat the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of persons; each one according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. ⁵ The lamb shall be without blemish, a male of one year; ye shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats; ⁶ and ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month, and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it between the two evenings. ⁷ And they shall take of the blood and put it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses in which they shall eat it. ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ⁹ Eat none of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roast with fire, his head with his legs, and with the entrails thereof. ¹⁰ And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. ¹¹ And thus shall ye eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’s passover. ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both among man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD. ¹³ And this blood shall be to you for a sign upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it as a feast unto the LORD throughout your ages; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ¹⁵ Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. ¹⁶ And in the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, except that which every person must eat, that only may be done of you. ¹⁷ And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread, for in this same day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt; therefore, shall ye observe this day for your ages by an ordinance forever. ¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, ye shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening. ¹⁹ For seven days there shall be no leaven found in your houses; for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or born in the land. ²⁰ Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations ye shall eat unleavened bread.

⁵ On the fourteenth of the first month between the two evenings is the LORD’s passover.

¹⁶ ¶ But on the fourteenth of the first month shall be the passover of the LORD.

¹ ¶ Keep the month of the new fruit, {Heb. of Abib} and thou shalt do the passover unto the LORD thy God; for in the month of the new fruit the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. ² Thou shalt, therefore, sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the sheep and the cows, in the place which the LORD shall choose to cause his name to dwell therein.

¹⁰ ¶ And the sons of Israel encamped in Gilgal and celebrated the passover on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, in the plains of Jericho.

¹ ¶ Moreover, Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

¹⁹ And the sons of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.

¹² ¶ And the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou may eat the passover?

⁷ ¶ Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover lamb must be killed.

⁷ ¶ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ, our passover, is sacrificed for us; ⁸ therefore let us celebrate the feast, not in the old leaven, neither in the leaven of malice and wickedness, but in the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

¹⁵ Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month, and the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves with shame and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

²⁶ otherwise it would have been necessary for him to suffer many times since the foundation of the world; but now once in the consummation of the ages he has appeared to abolish sin by the sacrifice of himself.

³² ¶ Thus was all the work of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony finished, and the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so did they.

⁴² According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel made all the work.

²⁰ And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the sons of Israel did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the sons of Israel unto them.

⁴⁰ And Moses told the sons of Israel according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

³ And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke unto the sons of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had commanded him regarding them;

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and rights, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do thus in the midst of the land where ye are about to enter in to possess it.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you always even unto the end of the age. Amen.

¹⁴ Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.

¹⁹ Whereupon, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision,

⁵ And Moses verily was faithful over all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after,

⁸ By faith Abraham, being called, hearkened to go out into the place which he should afterwards receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he went.

¹⁵ And Moses said unto his father-in-law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God.

¹⁹ Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people before God that thou may submit the causes unto God.

²⁶ And they judged the people at all seasons; the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

¹¹ neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father or for his mother;

¹¹ and the Israelite woman’s son pronounced the Name and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

² Command the sons of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper and every one that has an issue and anyone who is defiled by the dead.

⁶ All the days that they separate themselves unto the LORD they shall come in unto no dead body. ⁷ They shall not make themselves unclean for their father or for their mother, for their brother or for their sister, when they die because the consecration of their God is upon their head.

³³ And those that found him gathering firewood brought him unto Moses and Aaron and unto all the congregation.

¹¹ ¶ He that touches the dead body of any human person shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁶ And whoever touches one that is slain with a sword in the open fields or a dead body or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁸ and a clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water and sprinkle it upon the tent and upon all the stuff and upon the persons that were there and upon the one that touched the bone or the one slain or the one dead or the grave.

² And they stood before Moses and before Eleazar, the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, saying,

⁵ And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

²⁸ ¶ Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment, and it was early; and they themselves did not go into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the passover.

²⁷ That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’s passover, who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses. Then the people bowed and worshipped.

² Let the sons of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed season.

² Thou shalt, therefore, sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the sheep and the cows, in the place which the LORD shall choose to cause his name to dwell therein.

¹⁷ For there were yet many in the congregation that were not sanctified; therefore, the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for each one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD. ¹⁸ For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, and they ate the passover not as it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon each one ¹⁹ that has prepared his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, even though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

¹³ And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the saving health of the LORD, which he will bestow on you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall never see them again for ever.

¹⁷ Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you. O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, neither be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD shall be with you.

¹⁴ Nun The secret of the LORD is for those that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.

⁸ ¶ I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace unto his people and to his saints, that they not turn again to folly.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. ⁶ In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

⁷ And thou shalt speak my words unto them, but they will not hear nor forbear, for they are rebels.

¹⁷ Son of man, I have placed thee as a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth and give them warning from me.

¹⁷ If anyone desires to do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God or whether I speak of myself.

⁸ For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

²⁷ For I have not refrained from declaring unto you the full counsel of God.

⁴ For although I have nothing on my conscience, yet am I not hereby justified, but he that judges me is the Lord.

²³ ¶ For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread;

⁵ And Moses verily was faithful over all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after, ⁶ but Christ as a son over his own house, which house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the glorious hope firmly until the end.

²⁴ leave thy gift there before the altar, and go; first restore friendship with thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

⁸ Now I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers; ⁹ but that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name. ¹⁰ And again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples. ¹² And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation. ¹³ ¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁴ ¶ But I am convinced regarding you, my brethren, that even without my exhortation ye are full of charity, full of all knowledge, so as to be able to admonish one another. ¹⁵ Nevertheless I have written, brethren, in part boldly, as admonishing you by the grace that is given to me of God, ¹⁶ being the minister of Jesus Christ, to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be well pleasing, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ ¶ Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus, with regard to God. ¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, with word and with deed, ¹⁹ with power of signs and wonders, in virtue of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum, I have filled the entire area with the gospel of the Christ.

²⁵ ¶ Now to him that is able to confirm you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was concealed from times eternal ²⁶ but now is made manifest, and by the writings of the prophets, by the commandment of God eternal, declared unto all the Gentiles, that they might hear and obey by faith,

⁹ ¶ Know ye not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor homosexuals ¹⁰ nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you, but now ye are washed, but now ye are sanctified, but now ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

²⁸ But let each man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

¹ ¶ And he has made you alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, ² in which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the will of the prince of the power of this air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience,

¹² that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world, ¹³ but now in Christ Jesus ye who at another time were far off are made near by the blood of the Christ.

⁶ that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in the Christ by the gospel, ⁷ of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the operation of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Christ ⁹ and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the ages has been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.

⁴³ ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This shall be the ordinance of the passover: No stranger shall eat of it, ⁴⁴ but every man’s slave that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat of it. ⁴⁵ The foreigner and the hired servant shall not eat of it. ⁴⁶ It shall be eaten in one house; thou shalt not carry forth any of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof. ⁴⁷ All the congregation of Israel shall make this sacrifice. ⁴⁸ And if a stranger shall sojourn with thee and desire to make the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and make this sacrifice; and he shall be as one that is natural in the land, but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. ⁴⁹ The same law shall be for the one who is natural, and for the stranger that sojourns among you.

³ In the fourteenth day of this month, between the two evenings, ye shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all its ordinance and according to all the laws thereof, shall ye keep it.

³ Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou didst come forth out of the land of Egypt in haste; that thou may remember the day when thou didst come forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

² For the king had taken counsel with his princes and with all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month. ³ For they could not keep it at that time, because there were not enough priests sanctified, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem. ⁴ And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation. ⁵ So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem because for a long time they had not done it as it is written. ⁶ So the posts went with the letters from the hand of the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye sons of Israel, return unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria. ⁷ Do not be like your fathers, and like your brethren, who rebelled against the LORD God of their fathers and he gave them over to desolation, as ye see. ⁸ Therefore, do not be stiffnecked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified for ever and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you. ⁹ For if ye return unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find mercy before those that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land, for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you if ye return unto him. ¹⁰ So the posts passed from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun, but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them. ¹¹ Nevertheless, some men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem. ¹² Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, according to the word of the LORD. ¹³ ¶ And many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation. ¹⁴ And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and they also took away all the altars for incense and cast them into the brook Kidron. ¹⁵ Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month, and the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves with shame and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

³⁶ For these things were done that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

¹⁰ And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

⁴³ ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This shall be the ordinance of the passover: No stranger shall eat of it,

⁴⁶ It shall be eaten in one house; thou shalt not carry forth any of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

¹⁴ And the uncircumcised male whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has annulled my covenant.

¹⁵ Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

⁴ and does not bring it unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, blood shall be imputed unto that man; he has shed blood, and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

¹⁰ ¶ And any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you that eats any blood at all, I will set my face against that person that eats blood and will cut them off from among his people.

¹⁴ For the soul of all flesh, its life, is in its blood; therefore, I have said unto the sons of Israel, Ye shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the soul (or the life) of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off. ¹⁵ And any person that eats that which died of itself or that which was torn by beasts whether it is a natural of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean. ¹⁶ But if he washes them not, nor bathes his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.

²⁰ And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

⁹ They shall therefore keep my ordinance lest they bear sin for it and die therefore, if they profane it. I AM he who sanctifies them.

³¹ And that man shall be free from iniquity, and the woman shall bear her iniquity.

² Let the sons of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed season. ³ In the fourteenth day of this month, between the two evenings, ye shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all its ordinance and according to all the laws thereof, shall ye keep it.

⁷ and those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man; why are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the sons of Israel?

³⁰ ¶ But the person that does something consciously, whether they are natural born or a stranger, the same reproaches the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. ³¹ Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has made void his commandment, that person shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

¹³ Whoever touches the dead body of anyone that is dead and does not remove the sin has defiled the tabernacle of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from Israel; because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean, and his uncleanness shall be upon him.

⁴⁹ And they shall recompense your lust upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

³ how shall we escape, if we belittle such great saving health? Which, having begun to be published by the Lord, has been confirmed unto us by those that heard him,

⁶ and have backslidden, be renewed again by repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God and putting him to an open shame.

²⁸ so also the Christ is offered once to take away the sins of many; and unto those that wait for him without sin he shall appear the second time unto saving health.

²⁶ For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful hope of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ²⁸ He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much greater punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden underfoot the Son of God and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

²⁵ See that you do not refuse him that speaks. For if those who refused him that spoke on earth did not escape, much less shall we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from the heavens,

¹⁰ And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the fallen grapes of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger. I AM your God.

²⁵ Neither from the son of a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these because their corruption is in them and blemishes are in them; they shall not be accepted for you.

²² Ye shall have one manner of law: as for the stranger, so shall it be for the natural; for I am the LORD your God.

¹⁵ According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee.

¹¹ your little ones, your wives, and thy strangers that dwell within thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water,

¹² Gather the people together, men and women and children and thy strangers that are within thy gates, that they may hear and that they may learn and fear the LORD your God and observe to do all the words of this law,

³ ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger that has joined himself to the LORD speak, saying, The LORD shall utterly separate me from his people: nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. ⁴ For thus has the LORD said unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; ⁵ even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall never be cut off. ⁶ Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and that love the name of the LORD, to be his slaves, every one that keeps from polluting the sabbath, and takes hold of my covenant; ⁷ even them will I bring to the mountain of my holiness, and refresh them in the house of my prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called, House of prayer for all peoples.

¹⁹ Now therefore ye are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints and of the household of God, ²⁰ and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, ²¹ in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord, ²² in whom ye also are being built together for the habitation of God in the Spirit.

²¹ And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light that they might walk by day and by night.

¹⁹ And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and likewise the pillar of cloud went from before their face and stood behind them. ²⁰ And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it lit up the night unto Israel; and all that night the one side never came near the other.

²⁴ And it came to pass that in the morning watch the LORD looked at the camp of the Egyptians in the pillar of fire and of cloud and troubled the camp of the Egyptians

⁹ And when Moses would enter into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD would talk with Moses. ¹⁰ And when all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door, all the people would rise up, each one in the door of their tent, and worship.

¹⁷ And it came to pass in the first month in the second year on the first day of the month that the tabernacle was raised up. ¹⁸ And Moses caused the tabernacle to be raised up and fastened its sockets and set up its boards and put in its bars and caused its pillars to be raised up.

³⁴ ¶ Then a cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

³⁸ For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and the fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

¹⁴ and the inhabitants of this land will say, for they have already heard that thou, oh LORD, wast among this people, that thou, O LORD, art seen face to face, and that thy cloud was over them, and that thou didst go before them by day time in a pillar of a cloud and in a pillar of fire by night;

¹² Moreover, thou didst lead them by day with a pillar of cloud and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light in the way by which they should go.

¹⁹ yet thou in thy manifold mercies didst not forsake them in the wilderness; the pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither did the pillar of fire by night, to illuminate the way in which they should go.

¹⁴ In the daytime also he led them with a cloud and all the night with a light of fire.

³⁹ He spread a cloud for a covering and fire to give light in the night.

⁵ And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion and upon the places of her assemblies a cloud and darkness by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night because over all glory there shall be a covering.

³ Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house when this man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ And the glory of the LORD had gone up from the cherubim to the threshold of the door, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.

¹ ¶ Moreover, brothers, I would that ye not ignore how our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea

²¹ And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light that they might walk by day and by night. ²² He never took away the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

¹⁸ At the commandment of the LORD the sons of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched camp; as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle, they rested. ¹⁹ And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the sons of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey. ²⁰ And so it was, when the cloud was a determined number of days upon the tabernacle, according to the commandment of the LORD they camped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. ²¹ And so it was that when the cloud remained from evening unto the morning, and in the morning the cloud was taken up, then they journeyed; or if it had remained during the day and the cloud was taken up by night, they journeyed. ²² Or if it was two days or a month or a year that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the sons of Israel camped and did not journey; but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

³³ who went in the way before you to search you out a place to pitch your tents, with fire by night, to show you by what way ye should go, and with a cloud by day.

⁵ And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion and upon the places of her assemblies a cloud and darkness by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night because over all glory there shall be a covering. ⁶ And there shall be a covert for a shadow in the daytime from the heat and for a place of refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.

¹⁹ for certainly God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and having placed in us the word of reconciliation.

³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.

¹⁴ And he said, My presence {Heb. faces} shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. ¹⁵ And he said unto him, If thy presence {Heb. faces} is not to go before us, do not bring us out of here.

³⁶ And when the cloud lifted itself up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel went onward in all their journeys; ³⁷ but if the cloud did not lift itself up, then they did not journey until the day that it lifted itself up. ³⁸ For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and the fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

¹¹ ¶ And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony. ¹² And the sons of Israel moved out of the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

³³ Thus they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, searching out a resting place for them. ³⁴ And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, from when they went out of the camp.

⁸ I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will fix mine eyes upon thee.

²⁴ Thou hast guided me with thy counsel, and afterward thou shalt receive me unto glory.

A testimony of Asaph: A Psalm. ¶ Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth. ² In the presence of Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength and come and save us.

¹⁰ They shall never hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water he shall feed them.

³ To him the porter opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. ⁴ And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. ⁵ And they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.

⁹ I AM the door; whosoever enters in by me shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.

¹ ¶ And all the congregation of the sons of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and set up camp in Rephidim; and there was no water for the people to drink.

²⁰ And so it was, when the cloud was a determined number of days upon the tabernacle, according to the commandment of the LORD they camped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.

¹³ And they moved the first time according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

⁶ And this is charity, that we walk after his commandment. And this is the commandment, That ye walk in him, as ye have heard from the beginning.

⁵² And the sons of Israel shall pitch their tents, each man by his own camp and each man by his own standard, throughout their hosts. ⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of the testimony that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the sons of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.

⁸ And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony and the charge of the sons of Israel, to minister in the service of the tabernacle.

⁷ Thus saith the LORD of the hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also govern my house and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee a place among these that are here.

¹⁶ ¶ Thus did Moses; according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

³⁶ And when the cloud lifted itself up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel went onward in all their journeys; ³⁷ but if the cloud did not lift itself up, then they did not journey until the day that it lifted itself up.

⁵⁴ And the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

¹⁷ And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the sons of Israel journeyed; and in the place where the cloud abode, there the sons of Israel pitched their tents.

²¹ He has not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither has he seen rebellion in Israel; the LORD his God is with him, and the battle-cry of a king is in him. ²² God brought them out of Egypt; he has, as it were the strength of a unicorn.

⁶ The LORD our God spoke unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount; ⁷ turn and take your journey and go to the mount of the Amorite and unto all the places nearby, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valleys and to the Negev and by the sea side to the land of the Canaanite and unto Lebanon unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

³ Ye have gone around this mountain long enough; return unto the Aquilon. ⁴ And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the border of your brethren, the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you; take care unto yourselves, therefore;

¹⁴ For this God is our God eternally and for ever; he will be our guide even unto death.

²⁰ Thou didst lead thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

⁷ And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

¹⁰ Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Let thy good Spirit lead me into the land of uprightness.

⁴ and gathering them together, he commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, Which, he said, ye have heard of me.

⁵ because Abraham hearkened unto my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

¹⁹ And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the sons of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey.

³ Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.

⁸ And ye have not kept the charge of my holy things; but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.
