¹¹ If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those that ask him?

⁵ And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

²¹ And the LORD smelled a savour of rest, and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his childhood; neither will I again smite any more every living thing as I have done.

⁶ And as the LORD passed by before him, he proclaimed, I AM, I AM strong, merciful, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, letting go of iniquity and rebellion and sin; and by no means will I absolve the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and upon the sons’ sons, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

¹⁹ And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy slave’s house for a great while to come and that this shall be the condition of a man, O Lord GOD.

¹⁶ How much less the man who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water?

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield unto us; the LORD will give grace and glory; he will not withhold good from those that walk uprightly.

¹² The LORD shall give that which is good, and our land shall bring forth her fruit.

⁵ For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

¹¹ For as the heavens are high above the earth so does he increase his mercy over those that fear him. ¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our rebellions from us. ¹³ Like as a father has mercy upon his children, so the LORD has mercy upon those that fear him.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Even though they may forget, I will not forget thee.

⁸ For my thoughts are not as your thoughts, neither are your ways as my ways, saith the LORD. ⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts more than your thoughts.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who shall know it?

¹⁴ Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will confirm the good Word which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

⁸ ¶ How must I leave thee, Ephraim? how shall I give thee up, Israel? how could I make thee as Admah? nor set thee as Zeboim? my heart churns within me; all my compassion is inflamed. ⁹ I will not execute the fierceness of my anger; I will not return to destroy Ephraim; for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not enter into the city.

² Take with you words, and be converted unto the LORD; say unto him, Take away all iniquity and receive us graciously, so will we render the calves of our lips.

¹⁸ Who is a God like unto thee that pardons iniquity, and passes over the rebellion with the remnant of his heritage? He did not retain his anger for ever because he delights in mercy.

⁶ ¶ The son honours his father and the slave his master; if then I am a father, where is my honour? and if I am a master, where is my fear? said the LORD of the hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, In what have we despised thy name?

¹⁰ But the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you a gospel of great joy, which shall be to all the people. ¹¹ For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

¹¹ If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? ¹² Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? ¹³ If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those that ask him?

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

⁹ What then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise; for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin;

¹⁹ ¶ Now we know that all that the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may submit themselves unto God.

⁸ But God increased the price of his charity toward us in that while we were yet sinners the Christ died for us. ⁹ Then much more now justified in his blood, we shall be saved from wrath by him. ¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

³² He that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also give us all things with him?

⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound in you that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: ⁹ As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains for ever. ¹⁰ Now he that supplies seed to the sower shall also supply bread for food and shall multiply your seed sown and shall increase the growing of the fruits of your righteousness, ¹¹ so that being enriched in everything to all generosity, which works out through us thanksgiving unto God. ¹² For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also abounds in much thanksgiving unto God; ¹³ that by the experience of this ministration, they glorify God for the obedience of your consent unto the gospel of the Christ and in your liberal distribution unto them and unto everyone, ¹⁴ and in their prayer for you, for they love you because of the eminent grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be unto God for his indescribable gift.

²² But the scripture has concluded all under sin that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the believers.

¹ ¶ And he has made you alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, ² in which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the will of the prince of the power of this air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience, ³ among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind and were by nature the children of wrath, even as all the others. ⁴ ¶ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great charity with which he loved us, ⁵ even as we were dead in sins, he has made us alive together with the Christ (by whose grace ye are saved)

³ For we ourselves also were foolish in another time, rebellious, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out abundantly in us through Jesus, the Christ, our Saviour; ⁷ that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning.

¹ ¶ Behold, what charity the Father has given us, that we should be called the sons of God; therefore the world does not know us, because it does not know him.

¹⁰ In this does the charity consist, not because we had loved God, but because he loved us and has sent his Son to be the reconciliation for our sins.
