⁷ ¶ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and chastening.

⁷ ¶ Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.

⁶ ¶ By mercy and truth iniquity is purged, and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

¹³ ¶ The conclusion of the entire sermon is heard: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole happiness of man.

³ ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger that has joined himself to the LORD speak, saying, The LORD shall utterly separate me from his people: nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. ⁴ For thus has the LORD said unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; ⁵ even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall never be cut off. ⁶ Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and that love the name of the LORD, to be his slaves, every one that keeps from polluting the sabbath, and takes hold of my covenant; ⁷ even them will I bring to the mountain of my holiness, and refresh them in the house of my prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called, House of prayer for all peoples. ⁸ The Lord GOD who gathers the outcasts of Israel says, I will still gather upon him his gathered ones.

¹³ In the sacrifices of my gifts they sacrificed flesh and ate; but the LORD does not accept them; now he will remember their iniquity and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt.

²⁸ And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail, thou that art much graced, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women.

³¹ Then the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} had rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria and were edified, walking in the fear of the Lord, and with the comfort of the Holy Spirit they were multiplied.

² a devout man and one that feared God with all his house, who gave many alms to the people and prayed to God always.

⁹ and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

¹³ (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;

²⁵ For circumcision verily profits if thou keep the law, but if thou art a rebel to the law, thy circumcision is made into a foreskin. ²⁶ Therefore if the uncircumcised keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his foreskin be counted for circumcision? ²⁷ And that which is by nature foreskin, but keeps the law perfectly, shall judge thee who with the letter and with the circumcision art rebellious to the law. ²⁸ For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is circumcision that which is done outwardly in the flesh; ²⁹ but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit and not in the letter, whose praise is not of men, but of God.

²² the righteousness, that is, of God by the faith of Jesus, the Christ, for all and upon all those that believe in him, for there is no difference;

²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, ³⁰ seeing it is one God who shall justify the circumcision by faith and the uncircumcision by faith.

¹² ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. ¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

¹³ For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

¹ ¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

²⁸ Here there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved;

¹³ but now in Christ Jesus ye who at another time were far off are made near by the blood of the Christ. ¹⁴ ¶ For he is our peace, who of both has made one, breaking down the middle wall of separation, ¹⁵ abolishing in his flesh the enmity, which was the law of commandments in the order of rites, to edify in himself the two in one new man, making peace, ¹⁶ and to reconcile both with God by the cross {Gr. stauros – stake} in one body, having slain the enmity thereby; ¹⁷ and he came and preached peace unto you who were afar off and to those that were near. ¹⁸ For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

⁶ that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in the Christ by the gospel, ⁷ of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the operation of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Christ

²¹ ¶ submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

³ For we are the circumcision, who serve God in spirit and glory in Christ Jesus, having no confidence in the flesh.

⁶ which is come unto you, as it is in all the world, and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day ye heard it and knew the grace of God in truth,

²³ if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard and which is preached to every creature which is under heaven, of which I Paul am made a minister, ²⁴ who now rejoice in my sufferings for you and fulfill in my flesh that which is lacking of the tribulations of the Christ for his body’s sake, which is the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, ²⁵ of which I am made a minister by the dispensation of God which is given to me in you, to fulfil the word of God, ²⁶ even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints, ²⁷ to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery in the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

¹¹ where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian nor Scythian, slave nor free: but Christ is all and in all.

⁴ ¶ By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts, and by it he being dead yet speaks. ⁵ By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death, and was not found because God had translated him, for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God; for he that comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, also know that any one that does righteousness is born of him.
