¹¹ He who serves his soil is satisfied with bread; and he who pursues vanities lacks heart.

¹⁹ in the sweat of your nostrils, eat your bread, until you return to the soil; for thereof you were taken: for dust you are and to dust you return.

⁴ And they give him seventy silvers from the house of Baal Berith, wherewith Abi Melech hires vain and frothy men to go after him:

⁴ I neither settle with vain men nor go with imposters:

² for you eat the labor of your palms; blithed - and good with you

¹⁰ My son, if sinners entice you, be not willing: ¹¹ if they say, Come with us, we lurk for blood, we hide out gratuitously for the innocent; ¹² we swallow them alive as sheol; the integrious, as those who descend into the well; ¹³ we find all esteemed wealth; we fill our houses with spoil; ¹⁴ fell your pebble among us; we all have one pouch! ¹⁵ - my son, walk not in the way with them; withhold your foot from their path: ¹⁶ for their feet run to evil and hasten to pour blood. ¹⁷ Surely the net is winnowed gratuitously in the eye of any master of wing: ¹⁸ they lurk for their own blood; they hide out for their own souls: ¹⁹ thus are the ways of all the greedy of greed; who take away the soul of their masters.

¹⁴ neither enter the path of the wicked nor blithe in the way of evil. ¹⁵ Avoid, pass not in; deviate therefrom, and pass on:

³² He who adulterizes with a woman, lacks heart; he who thus works ruins his own soul:

⁷ and see among the gullible: I discern among the sons a lad lacking heart

⁶ Forsake the gullible and live; blithesome in the way of discernment.

¹³ A foolish woman roars; - gullible and knows not what:

¹⁶ Whoever is gullible, turn in here! - and to whoever lacks heart, she says,

²⁰ He who walks with the wise, enwisens; and he who befriends fools, shouts.

²³ Abundant food is the tillage of the impoverished; and is scraped away for want of judgment.

⁴ Where no oxen are, the manger is empty; and abundant is the produce by the force of the ox.

²³ In all contorting there is advantage; and the word of the lips is only to lack.

²⁷ And you have milk enough of the doe goats for your bread - for the bread of your household, and for the life of your lasses.

¹⁹ He who serves his soil, satiates with bread; and he who pursues vanity, satiates with poverty.

⁸ They who observe vain vanities forsake their own mercy;

²⁸ Whoever stole, steal no more: but rather labor, working good with the hands, so as to impart to him who needs.

¹¹ and to befriend esteeming quietness and to transact your own business and to work with your own hands - exactly as we evangelized you; ¹² to walk respectably toward them on the outside: and that you have need of naught.

⁸ nor eat the bread of anyone for nought; but work in labor and toil night and day to not overburden any of you:
