And David ages, satisfied of days; and he has Shelomoh his son reign over Yisra El: ² and he gathers all the governors of Yisra El, with the priests and the Leviym. ³
SCRIBING THE LEVIYM
And they scribe the Leviym from sons of thirty years and upward: and their number per cranium - mighty by mighty, is thirty-eight thousand. ⁴ Of these, to oversee the work of the house of Yah Veh: twenty-four thousand: and six thousand officers and judges: ⁵ and four thousand porters; and four thousand to halal Yah Veh with the instruments I worked to halal. ⁶
ALLOTMENTS OF THE SONS OF LEVI
And David allots them allotments of the sons of Levi: Gershon, Qehath and Merari. ⁷
SCRIBING THE GERSHONIY
Of the Gershoniy: Ladan and Shimi. ⁸ The sons of Ladan: the head is Yechi El and Zetham and Yah El - three. ⁹ The sons of Shimi: Shelomoth and Hazi El and Haran - three. - these are the head of the fathers of Ladan. ¹⁰ And the sons of Shimi: Yachath, Zina and Yeush and Beriah. - these are the sons of Shimi - four. ¹¹ And Yachath is the head and Zizah the second: but Yeush and Beriah abound no sons; so they are in one mustering, according to the house of their father. ¹²
SCRIBING THE SONS OF QEHATH
The sons of Qehath: Am Ram, Yishar, Hebron and Uzzi El - four. ¹³ The sons of Am Ram: Aharon and Mosheh; and Aharon is separated to hallow the Holy of Holies - he and his sons eternally to incense at the face of Yah Veh to minister to him and to bless in his name eternally. ¹⁴ As for Mosheh the man of Elohim, his sons are called of the scion of Levi. ¹⁵ The sons of Mosheh: Gershom and Eli Ezer. ¹⁶ Of the sons of Gershom: Shebu El, the head. ¹⁷ And the sons of Eli Ezer: Rechab Yah the head. And Eli Ezer has no other sons: and the sons of Rechab Yah abound above. ¹⁸ Of the sons of Yishar: Shelomith the head. ¹⁹ Of the sons of Hebron: Yeri Yah the head, Amar Yah the second, Yachazi El the third and Yeqam Am the fourth. ²⁰ Of the sons of Uzzi El: Michah Yah the head and Yishshi Yah the second. ²¹
SCRIBING THE SONS OF MERARI
The sons of Merari: Machli and Mushi. The sons of Machli: El Azar and Qish; ²² and El Azar dies and has no sons, but daughters; and their brothers the sons of Qish lift them. ²³ The sons of Mushi: Machli and Eder and Yeremoth - three. ²⁴
THE NEW SERVICE OF THE LEVIYM
These are the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers - the head of the fathers, as they are mustered by number of names per cranium; who work the work for the service of the house of Yah Veh, from sons of twenty years and upward. ²⁵ For David says, Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El rests his people, to tabernacle in Yeru Shalem eternally: ²⁶ and also of the Leviym; they neither bear the tabernacle, nor any instruments thereof for the service thereof: ²⁷ for by the last words of David the sons of Levi are numbered from sons of twenty years and above: ²⁸ because of their function at the hand of the sons of Aharon for the service of the house of Yah Veh - in the courts and in the chambers and in the purifying of all the holies and the work of the service of the house of Elohim: ²⁹ and for the bread arrangement and for the flour for offering and for the matsah wafers and for the griddled and for the deep fried and for all manner of measure by measure: ³⁰ and to stand morning by morning to spread hands and halal Yah Veh - and likewise at evening: ³¹ and to holocaust all holocausts to Yah Veh in the shabbaths, in the new moons, festivals by number, according to their judgment, continually at the face of Yah Veh: ³² and to guard the guard of the tent of the congregation and the guard of the holies and the guard of the sons of Aharon their brothers in the service of the house of Yah Veh.

DAVID SEPARATES THE PROPHET MUSICIANS
And David and the governors of the host separate to the service of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Yeduthun - prophets with harps, with bagpipes and with cymbals. And the number of the workmen according to their service: ² Of the sons of Asaph: Zakkur and Yoseph and Nethan Yah and Ashar Elah - the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph who prophesy at the hand of the sovereign. ³ Of Yeduthun; the sons of Yeduthun: Gedal Yah and Seri and Yesha Yah, Hashab Yah and Mattith Yah - six under the hands of their father Yeduthun who prophesy with a harp, to spread hands and to halal Yah Veh. ⁴ Of Heman; the sons of Heman: Buqqi Yah, Mattan Yah, Uzzi El, Shebu El and Yerimoth, Hanan Yah, Hanani, Eli Athah, Giddalti and Romamti Ezer, Yoshbe Qashah, Mallothi, Hothir and Machazioth. ⁵ - all these are the sons of Heman the seer of the sovereign in the words of Elohim to lift up the horn: and Elohim gives Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. ⁶ All these are under the hands of their father for song in the house of Yah Veh - with cymbals, bagpipes and harps, for the service of the house of Elohim. At the hand of the sovereign: Asaph, Yeduthun and Heman. ⁷ And their number, with their brothers - those taught in the songs of Yah Veh all the discerning, two hundred eighty-eight. ⁸ And they fell pebbles, by guards - the small as well as the great the discerner as the scholar. ⁹ And the first pebble goes for Asaph to Yoseph: the second to Gedal Yah - he and his brothers and his sons - twelve; ¹⁰ the third to Zakkur his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹¹ the fourth to Yisri his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹² the fifth to Nethan Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹³ the sixth to Buqqi Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁴ the seventh to Yesar Elah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁵ the eighth to Yesha Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁶ the ninth to Mattan Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁷ the tenth to Shimi his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁸ the eleventh to Azar El his sons and his brothers - twelve; ¹⁹ the twelfth to Hashab Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²⁰ the thirteenth to Shuba El his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²¹ the fourteenth to Mattith Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²² the fifteenth to Yeremoth his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²³ the sixteenth to Hanan Yah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²⁴ the seventeenth to Yoshbe Qashah his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²⁵ the eighteenth to Hanani his sons and his brothers - twelve; ²⁶ the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers - twelve;

² And Yechizqi Yah stations the allotments of the priests and the Leviym by their allotments - every man according to the mouth of his service: the priests and Leviym for holocausts and for shelamim, to minister and to spread hands and to halal in the portals of the camps of Yah Veh:

THE FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH LAID
And in the second year of their coming to the house of Elohim at Yeru Shalem in the second month, Zerub Babel the son of Shealti El and Yah Shua the son of Yah Sadaq and the survivors of their brothers the priests and the Leviym and all who come from the captivity to Yeru Shalem: and they stand the Leviym from sons of twenty years and upward, to begin to oversee the work of the house of Yah Veh.

And El Yashib the great priest rises with his brothers the priests and they build the flock portal; they hallow it and stand its doors - hallow it even to the tower of Meah to the tower of Hanan El: ² and at his hand the men of Yericho build: and at their hand: Zakkur the son of Imri builds; ³ and the fish portal, the sons of Senaah build - he who felled its beams and stood its doors its locks and its bars: ⁴ and at their hand: Meremoth the son of Uri Yah the son of Qos strengthens; and at their hand: Meshullam the son of Berech Yah, the son of Meshezab El strengthens; and at their hand: Sadoq the son of Baana strengthens; ⁵ and at their hand: the Teqoaiy strengthen; and their mighty put not their necks to the service of their Adonay; ⁶ and the old portal Yah Yada the son of Paseach and Meshullam the son of Besod Yah strengthen - they fell its beams and stand its doors and its locks and its bars; ⁷ and at their hand: Melat Yah the Giboniy strengthens - and Yadon the Meronothiy the men of Gibon and of Mispeh - to the throne of the governor this side the river; ⁸ and at his hand: Uzzi El the son of Harha Yah of the refiners strengthens; and at his hand: Hanan Yah the son of the perfumers strengthens - and they leave Yeru Shalem to the wide wall; ⁹ and at their hand: Repha Yah the son of Hur the governor of the half circuit of Yeru Shalem strengthens; ¹⁰ and at their hand: Yeda Yah the son of Harum Aph strengthens - even over against his house; and at his hand: Hattush the son of Hashabne Yah strengthens; ¹¹ Malki Yah the son of Harim and Hashshub the son of Pachath Moab, strengthen the second measure and the tower of the furnaces; ¹² and at his hand: Shallum the son of Lochesh the governor of the half circuit of Yeru Shalem - he and his daughters strengthen; ¹³ the valley portal Hanun and the settlers of Zanoach strengthen - they build it and stand its doors its locks and its bars - and a thousand cubits on the wall to the dunghill portal; ¹⁴ and the dunghill portal Malki Yah the son of Rechab the governor of the circuit of Beth Hak Kerem strengthens; - he builds it and stands its doors its locks and its bars; ¹⁵ and the portal of the fountain Shallun the son of Kol Hozeh, the governor of the circuit of Mispeh strengthens - he builds it and covers it and stands its doors, its locks and its bars and the wall of the pool of Shiloach by the garden of the sovereign; and to the steps that descend from the city of David; ¹⁶ after him: Nechem Yah the son of Az Buq, the governor of the half circuit of Beth Sur, strengthens to over against the tombs of David and to the pool that is worked and to the house of the mighty; ¹⁷ after him: the Leviym - Rechum the son of Bani strengthen; at his hand: Hashab Yah the governor of the half circuit of Qeilah in his circuit strengthens; ¹⁸ after him: their brothers - Bavay the son of Henadad, the governor of the half circuit of Qeilah strengthen; ¹⁹ and at his hand: Ezer the son of Yah Shua, the governor of Mispeh, strengthens a second measure over against the ascent to the armoury at the corner; ²⁰ after him: Baruch the son of Zakkay kindles to strengthen the second measure from the corner to the portal of the house of El Yashib the great priest; ²¹ after him: Meremoth the son of Uri Yah the son of Qos strengthens a second measure, from the portal of the house of El Yashib even to the conclusion of the house of El Yashib; ²² and after him: the priests - the men of the environs strengthen; ²³ after him: Ben Yamin and Hashshub strengthen over against their house; after him: Azar Yah the son of Maase Yah the son of Anan Yah strengthens by his house; ²⁴ after him: Binnuy the son of Henadad strengthens a second measure - from the house of Azar Yah to the corner - and to the corner; ²⁵ Palal the son of Uzai, over against the corner and the tower which goes from the high house of the sovereign, by the court of the guard yard; after him: Pedah Yah the son of Parosh. ²⁶ The Dedicates settle in Ophel, against the water portal toward the rising and the tower that goes out; ²⁷ after them: the Teqoaiy strengthen a second measure over against the great tower that goes out even to the wall of Ophel; ²⁸ from above the horse portal the priests strengthen - each man over against his house; ²⁹ after them: Sadoq the son of Immer strengthens over against his house; after him: also Shema Yah the son of Shechan Yah the guard of the portal toward the rising strengthens; ³⁰ after him: Hanan Yah the son of Shelem Yah and Hanun the sixth son of Salaph strengthen a second measure; after him: Meshullam the son of Berech Yah strengthens over against his chamber; ³¹ after him: Malki Yah the son of the refiner strengthens to the house of the Dedicates and of the merchants - over against the portal Miphkad and to the upper room of the corner; ³² and between the upper room of the corner to the flock portal the refiners and the merchants strengthen.

THE YAH HUDIYM ACCUSED
And so be it, Sanballat and Tobi Yah and Geshem the Arabiy and the rest of our enemies hear I built the wall with no breach remaining therein - also until that time I had not stood the doors on the portals;

¹⁵ And they shalam the wall in the twenty-fifth of Elul - in fifty-two days.

³⁹ for the sons of Yisra El and the sons of Levi bring the exaltment of the crop of the juice and the oil to the chambers to the instruments of the holies - to the priests who minister and the porters and the singers: and not forsake the house of our Elohim.

³ And these are the heads of the jurisdiction who settle in Yeru Shalem: and in the cities of Yah Hudah each man settles in his possession in their cities - Yisra El, the priests and the Leviym and the Dedicates and the sons of the servants of Shelomoh.

²⁴ And the head of the Leviym: Hashab Yah, Shereb Yah and Yah Shua the son of Qadmi El with their brothers opposite them - to halal and to spread hands according to the misvah of David the man of Elohim - underguard by underguard.
