MONGRELS SEPARATED FROM YISRA EL
On that day, they call out in the scroll of Mosheh in the ears of the people; and they find inscribed therein that the Ammoniy and the Moabiy are not to come into the congregation of Elohim eternally; 2 because they anticipated not the sons of Yisra El with bread and with water; but hired Bilam against them to abase them: and our Elohim turns the abasement into a blessing. 3 And so be it, when they hear the torah, they separate all the mongrels from Yisra El: 4 and at the face of this, El Yashib the priest gives the oversight of the chamber of the house of our Elohim to one near to Tobi Yah: 5 and he works himself a great chamber where they formerly gave the offerings - the frankincense and the instruments and the tithes of the crop - the juice and the oil the misvah of the Leviym and the singers and the porters; and the exaltments of the priests. 6 And in all this, I am not at Yeru Shalem: for in the thirty-second year of Artach Shashta sovereign of Babel I come to the sovereign; and at the end of days I ask of the sovereign: 7 and I come to Yeru Shalem and discern the evil El Yashib works to Tobi Yah - in working him a chamber in the courts of the house of Elohim: 8 and it is mighty evil to me: and I cast out all the household instruments to Tobi Yah from the chamber. 9 Then I say - and they purify the chambers: and I bring again the instruments of the house of Elohim with the offering and the frankincense: 10 and I perceive that the allotments of the Leviym have not been given them: for the Leviym and the singers who work the work flee - each man to his field. 11 Then I contend with the prefects and say, Why is the house of Elohim forsaken? - and I gather them and stand them in their station. 12 And all Yah Hudah brings the tithe of the crop and the juice and the oil to the treasuries. 13 And treasurers over the treasuries: Shelem Yah the priest and Sadoq the scribe and Pedah Yah of the Leviym; and at their hand: Hanan the son of Zakkur the son of Mattan Yah; for they are fabricated as amenable and their office is to allot to their brothers. 14 Remember me, O my Elohim, concerning this; and wipe not out the mercies I worked for the house of my Elohim and for its underguard. 15 In those days in Yah Hudah I see them treading wine presses on the shabbath - and bringing in heaps and lading he burros and also wine, grapes and figs and all the burdens they bring into Yeru Shalem on the shabbath day: and I witness the day they sell hunt: 16 and the Soriy settle therein bringing fish and all manner of price and sell on the shabbath to the sons of Yah Hudah and in Yeru Shalem. 17 And I contend with the nobles of Yah Hudah and say to them, What evil word is this that you work and profane the shabbath day? 18 Worked not your fathers thus and brought not our Elohim all this evil on us and on this city? And you add fuming on Yisra El by profaning the shabbath. 19 And so be it, the portals of Yeru Shalem begin to overshadow at the face of the shabbath, and I say to shut the gates and say to not open until after the shabbath: and I stand my lads at the portals, that no burden is brought in on the shabbath day. 20 And the merchants and sellers of all sales stay overnight outside Yeru Shalem one time or twice. 21 And I witness against them and say to them, Why stay you overnight opposite the wall? If you repeat, I spread hands on you. - from that time they come not on the shabbath. 22 And I say to the Leviym to purify and to come and guard the portals to hallow the shabbath day. Remember me, O my Elohim, this also; and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy. 23 Also in those days I see that the Yah Hudiym settle with women of Ashdodiy, of Ammoniy and of Moabiy: 24 and their sons word half in the speech of Ashdod and recognize not to word in Yah Hudaic, but according to the language of people by people. 25 And I contend with them and abase them and smite men of them and balden them and have them oath by Elohim, saying, Neither give your daughters to their sons nor bear their daughters to your sons or for yourselves. 26 Shelomoh sovereign of Yisra El - sinned he not by these? Yet among many goyim there is no sovereign like him - beloved of his Elohim; and Elohim gave him sovereign over all Yisra El: and strange women caused even him to sin. 27 And hearken we to you to work all this great evil - to treason against our Elohim in settling with strange women? 28 And of the sons of Yah Yada, the son of El Yashib the great priest is son in law to Sanballat the Horoniy: and I flee him from me. 29 Remember them, O my Elohim, because they profane the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood and of the Leviym. 30 Thus I purify them from all strangers and station the guards of the priests and the Leviym - each man in his work; 31 and for the qorban of timber, at times appointed, and for the firstlings. Remember me, O my Elohim, for good.
