⁵ and so be it, the sons of Ammon fight Yisra El; and the elders of Gilad go to take Yiphtach from the land of Tob:

⁹ and the sons of Ammon pass over Yarden to fight against Yah Hudah and against Ben Yamin and against the house of Ephrayim; so that Yisra El is mightily depressed.

And the sons of Ammon cry out and encamp in Gilad; and the sons of Yisra El gather and encamp in Mispeh: ¹⁸ and man to friend, the people and governors of Gilad say, Whatever man begins to fight the sons of Ammon becomes head over all the settlers of Gilad.

²⁷ And the sons of Beli Yaal say, How - this man save us? And they despise him and bring no offerings. But he hushes.

⁶ and the Spirit of Elohim prospers on Shaul when he hears those words and kindles his wrath mightily; ⁷ and he takes a yoke of oxen and dismembers them and by the hands of angels, sends them throughout all the borders of Yisra El saying, Whoever goes not after Shaul and after Shemu El, so be it worked to his oxen. And the fear of Yah Veh falls on the people and they go as one man:

¹² And the people say to Shemu El, Who says, Shaul reigns over us? Give the men, and we deathify them.

²² The stone the builders refused becomes the head of the corner. ²³ This becomes from Yah Veh - marvellous in our eyes.

²⁷ But Elohim selects the foolish of the cosmos to shame the wise; and Elohim selects the frailties of the cosmos to shame the mighty; ²⁸ and the ignoble of the cosmos and the belittled Elohim selects; yes, and those not being to inactivate those being: ²⁹ so that no flesh boasts in his sight.
