1
PEOPLES UNITE AGAINST YAH SHUA AND YISRA EL And so be it, all the sovereigns on this side Yarden - in the mountains and in the lowlands and in all the havens of the great sea toward Lebanon - the Hethiy and the Emoriy the Kenaaniy the Perizziy the Hivviy and the Yebusiy hear thereof; 2 and they gather themselves together to fight Yah Shua and Yisra El with one mouth. 3
THE STRATEGY OF THE SETTLERS OF GIBON And the settlers of Gibon hear what Yah Shua worked to Yericho and to Ay, 4 and they work strategy, and come, and make out to be ambassadors; and take worn out saqs on their he burros, and worn out and split and bandaged wine skins, 5 and worn out and patched shoes on their feet, and worn out clothes on themselves; and all the bread of their hunt is withered and crumbly. 6 And they go to Yah Shua to the camp at Gilgal, and say to him, and to the men of Yisra El, We come from a far land: and now cut a covenant with us. 7 And the men of Yisra El say to the Hivviy, Perhaps you settle among us; and how cut we a covenant with you? 8 And they say to Yah Shua, We, your servants. And Yah Shua says to them, Who are you? Whence come you? 9 And they say to him, From a mighty far land your servants come; because of the name of Yah Veh your Elohim: for we hear of his fame, and all he works in Misrayim, 10 and all he works to the two sovereigns of the Emoriy beyond Yarden - to Sichon sovereign of Heshbon, and to Og sovereign of Bashan at Ashtaroth: 11 and our elders and all the settlers of our land say to us, saying, Take hunt in your hand for the journey and go to meet them, and say to them, We, your servants: and now cut covenant with us. 12 We took this bread from our houses, warm for our provision on the day we came to come to you; and now, behold, it withered and crumbled: 13 and we filled these skins of wine, new; and behold, they split: and these our clothes and our shoes; worn by the mighty great journey. 14 And the men take of their hunt, and ask not at the mouth of Yah Veh: 15 and Yah Shua works shalom with them and cuts a covenant with them that they live: and the hierarchs of the witness oath to them. 16
SONS OF YISRA EL HONOR THEIR OATH And so be it, at the end of three days, after they cut a covenant with them, they hear they are neighbours settling among them. 17 And the sons of Yisra El pull stakes and come to their cities on the third day: and their cities are Gibon and Kephirah and Beeroth and Kirjath Arim: 18 and the sons of Yisra El smite them not because the hierarchs of the witness oathed to them by Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El. And all the witness murmurs against the hierarchs. 19 And all the hierarchs say to all the witness, We oathed to them by Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: and now we are not able to touch them. 20 This we work to them - that they live lest rage be on us, because of the oath we oathed to them. 21 And the hierarchs say to them, They live; and become choppers of timber and bailers of water to all the witness; as the hierarchs had worded them. 22 And Yah Shua calls for them, and words to them, saying, Why deceived you us, saying, We are mighty far from you - when you settle among us? 23 Now you are cursed, and none of you is cut off from being servants and choppers of timber and bailers of water for the house of my Elohim. 24 And they answer Yah Shua, and say, In telling, your servants were told how Yah Veh your Elohim misvahed his servant Mosheh to give you all the land, and to desolate all the settlers of the land from your face; and we awed mightily of our souls at your face and worked this word: 25 and now, behold, we are in your hand: and as seems good and straight in your eyes to work, work. 26 And thus he works them, and delivers them from the hand of the sons of Yisra El that they not slaughter them: 27 And Yah Shua gives them that day to become choppers of timber and bailers of water for the witness and for the sacrifice altar of Yah Veh - even to this day in the place he chooses.

24 and Yisra El smites him with the mouth of the sword and possesses his land from Arnon to Yabboq to the sons of Ammon: for the border of the sons of Ammon is strong. 25 And Yisra El takes all these cities: and Yisra El settles in all the cities of the Emoriy, in Heshbon and in all the daughters thereof. 26 For Heshbon is a city of Sichon the sovereign of the Emoriy, who fought the head sovereign of Moab and takes all his land from his hand, to Arnon. 27 So they who proverbialize say, Come into Heshbon, build the city of Sichon and prepare: 28 for there a fire goes from Heshbon a flame from the city of Sichon: it consumes Ar of Moab and the masters of the bamahs of Arnon. 29 Woe to you, Moab! You destruct, O people of Kemosh! He gives his sons and his daughters who escape to captivity to Sichon sovereign of the Emoriy. 30 And we shoot them! Heshbon destructs even to Dibon and we desolate them from Nophach to Medeba. 31 - thus Yisra El settles in the land of the Emoriy. 32 And Mosheh sends to spy Yazer and they capture the daughters thereof and dispossess the Emoriy there: 33 and they ascend from their face by the way of Bashan: and Og the sovereign of Bashan goes out confronting them - he and all his people to the war at Edrei. 34 And Yah Veh says to Mosheh, Awe him not: for I give him into your hand - all his people and his land; and work to him as you worked to Sichon sovereign of the Emoriy, who settles at Heshbon. 35 So they smite him and his sons and all his people, until no survivor survives: and they possess his land.

1 In shutting, Yericho is shut from the face of the sons of Yisra El: no one going, and no one coming. 2 And Yah Veh says to Yah Shua, See, I give in your hand, Yericho and the sovereign and the mighty of valour: 3 surround the city, all you men of war, and go all around the city one time: work thus six days: 4 and seven priests at the face of the ark bear seven shophars of jubilee: and the seventh day surround the city seven times, and the priests blast with the shophars. 5 And so be it, when they draw on the jubilee horn, and when you hear the voice of the shophar, all the people shout a great shout; and the wall of the city falls under it, and the people ascend, each straight in front of him. 6 And Yah Shua the son of Nun calls the priests, and says to them, Lift the ark of the covenant. - and seven priests bear seven shophars of jubilee at the face of the ark of Yah Veh. 7 And he says to the people, Pass on, and surround the city, and he who is equipped pass on at the face of the ark of Yah Veh. 8 And so be it, when Yah Shua says to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven shophars of jubilee pass on at the face of Yah Veh, and blast with the shophars: and the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh walks after them; 9 and the equipped walk at the face of the priests who blast the shophars; and the gathering walks after the ark going on and blasting with the shophars. 10 And Yah Shua misvahs the people, saying, Neither shout, nor have your voice heard, nor any word go from your mouth, until the day I say, Shout! then, shout! 11 And the ark of Yah Veh surrounds the city, going around one time: and they come into the camp and stay overnight in the camp. 12 And Yah Shua starts early in the morning and the priests lift the ark of Yah Veh: 13 and seven priests bearing seven shophars of jubilee at the face of the ark of Yah Veh in walking, walk and blast with the shophars: and the equipped go at their face; and the gathering comes after the ark of Yah Veh - going and blasting with the shophars. 14 And the second day they surround the city one time, and return to the camp: thus they work six days. 15 And so be it, on the seventh day, they start early about the ascending of dawn, and surround the city after the same judgment seven times: except on that day they surround the city seven times. 16 And so be it, the seventh time, the priests blast the shophars, and Yah Shua says to the people, Shout! - for Yah Veh gives you the city! 17 And the city becomes devoted to Yah Veh - it and all therein: only, Rachab the whore lives - she and all with her in the house, because she hid the angels we sent. 18 And you, be on guard of the devoted, lest you become devoted when you take of the devotement; and set the camp of Yisra El a devotement, and trouble it. 19 But all the silver and gold and instruments of copper and iron, are holy to Yah Veh: they come into the treasury of Yah Veh. 20 So the people shout and blast with the shophars: and so be it, when the people hear the voice of the shophar and the people shout with a great shouting the wall falls flat; so that the people ascended into the city; and every man straight in front of him captures the city: 21 and they devote all that is in the city - both man and woman - from lad to old man and ox and lamb and he burro with the mouth of the sword. 22 And to the two men who spied the land, Yah Shua says, Go into the house of the woman, and bring out the woman and all she has, as you oathed to her.

22 And to the two men who spied the land, Yah Shua says, Go into the house of the woman, and bring out the woman and all she has, as you oathed to her. 23 And the lads, the spies go in, and bring out Rachab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all she has; and they bring out all her family, and leave them outside the camp of Yisra El:

24 and they burn the city and all therein with fire: only, they give the silver and the gold and the instruments of copper and of iron to the treasury of the house of Yah Veh. 25 And Yah Shua saves Rachab the whore alive with the household of her father and all she has; and she settles within Yisra El to this day; because she hid the angels Yah Shua sent to spy out Yericho.

Joshua 6:25-25

25 And Yah Shua saves Rachab the whore alive with the household of her father and all she has; and she settles within Yisra El to this day; because she hid the angels Yah Shua sent to spy out Yericho. 26 And Yah Shua oathed them at that time, saying, Cursed from the face of Yah Veh be the man who rises and builds this city Yericho: he lays his firstbirthed in the foundation thereof, and in his lesser, he stations the doors. 27 So Yah Veh is with Yah Shua; and his fame becomes throughout all the land.

1
SONS OF YISRA EL CONQUER AY And Yah Veh says to Yah Shua, Neither awe nor terrify: take all the people of war with you, and rise; ascend to Ay: see, I give into your hand the sovereign of Ay and his people and his city and his land: 2 work to Ay and her sovereign as you worked to Yericho and her sovereign: only, plunder the spoil thereof and the animals thereof to yourselves: lurk for the city behind it. 3 So Yah Shua and all the people of war rise to ascend against Ay: and Yah Shua chooses thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sends them away by night. 4 And he misvahs them, saying, See, lurk against the city behind the city: go not mighty far from the city, and prepare - all of you: 5 and I and all the people with me approach the city: and so be it, when they come to confront us, we flee from their face, as at first 6 - and they come after us until we tear them from the city; for, they say, They flee our face, as at first: and we flee their face: 7 then rise from the lurk and possess the city: for Yah Veh your Elohim gives it into your hand. 8 And so be it, when you apprehend the city, burn the city on fire: work according to the word of Yah Veh. See, I misvah you. 9 - and Yah Shua sends them: and they go to lurk and settle between Beth El and Ay, seaward of Ay: and that night Yah Shua stays overnight among the people. 10 And Yah Shua starts early in the morning and musters the people and ascends - he and the elders of Yisra El at the face of the people to Ay: 11 and all the people of war ascend with him and draw near and come in front of the city and encamp on the north of Ay: and a valley is between them and Ay. 12 And he takes about five thousand men and sets them to lurk between Beth El and Ay seaward of the city: 13 and they set the people - all the camp north of the city, and their heel trippers seaward of the city, and Yah Shua goes that night midst the valley. 14 And so be it, when the sovereign of Ay sees, they hasten and start early and the men of the city go out to meet Yisra El to war - he and all his people, at a season, at the face of the plain; but he knows not there are lurkers against him behind the city. 15 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El are as touched at their face; and flee by the way of the wilderness: 16 and all the people in Ay cry out to pursue them: and they pursue Yah Shua and tear away from the city. 17 not a man survives in Ay or Beth El, who goes not after Yisra El: they leave the city open and pursue after Yisra El. 18 And Yah Veh says to Yah Shua, Spread the dart in your hand toward Ay; for I give it into your hand. - and Yah Shua spreads the dart in his hand toward Ay. 19 And the lurkers rise quickly from their place, and run as soon as he spreads his hand: and they enter the city and capture it; and hasten and burn the city with fire: 20 and when the men of Ay face behind them, they see, and behold, the smoke of the city ascends to the heavens, and they have no hand to flee - here or there: and the people fleeing to the wilderness turn back against the pursuers. 21 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El see the lurkers capture the city and the smoke of the city ascending, they turn back and smite the men of Ay: 22 and the others come from the city to meet them; thus they are midst Yisra El - these on this side and those on that side: and they smite them, so that no escapee survives. 23 And they apprehend the sovereign of Ay alive, and approach him to Yah Shua. 24 And so be it, Yisra El finishes slaughtering all the settlers of Ay in the field - in the wilderness where they pursue them; - they all fall on the mouth of the sword; until they are consumed: and all the Yisra Eliy return to Ay and smite it with the mouth of the sword. 25 And so be it, all who fall that day, both of men and women, are twelve thousand, all the men of Ay. 26 For Yah Shua turned not back his hand wherewith he spread the spear, until he devoted all the settlers of Ay: 27 only, the animals and the spoil of that city Yisra El plundered to themselves, according to the word Yah Veh misvahed Yah Shua. 28 And Yah Shua burns Ay, and sets it a heap for eternity - a desolation to this day: 29 and he hangs the sovereign of Ay on a tree until evening time: and as soon as the sun is down, Yah Shua misvahs them to bring his carcase down from the tree and cast it at the opening of the portal of the city; and raises thereon a great heap of stones, to this day. 30
THE ALTAR OF YAH SHUA TO YAH VEH Yah Shua builds a sacrifice altar to Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El in mount Ebal, 31 as Mosheh the servant of Yah Veh misvahed the sons of Yisra El - as inscribed in the scroll of the torah of Mosheh - a sacrifice altar of complete stones over which no man ever waved an iron: and they holocaust holocausts to Yah Veh thereon, and sacrifice shelamim: 32 and there on the stones he inscribes a duplicate of the torah of Mosheh which he inscribes in the face of the sons of Yisra El. 33 And all Yisra El and their elders and officers and their judges stand on this side the ark and on that side in front of the priests the Leviym, who bear the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh - as the sojourner, as the native; half of them toward mount Gerizim and half of them toward mount Ebal; as Mosheh the servant of Yah Veh first misvahed, to bless the people of Yisra El. 34 And afterward he calls out all the words of the torah - the blessings and abasements according to all inscribed in the scroll of the torah: 35 not a word, of all Mosheh misvahed, is not called out by Yah Shua in front of all the congregation of Yisra El - with the women, and the toddlers, and the sojourners walking among them.

Joshua 9:1

1
PEOPLES UNITE AGAINST YAH SHUA AND YISRA EL And so be it, all the sovereigns on this side Yarden - in the mountains and in the lowlands and in all the havens of the great sea toward Lebanon - the Hethiy and the Emoriy the Kenaaniy the Perizziy the Hivviy and the Yebusiy hear thereof;

Joshua 9:4-5

4 and they work strategy, and come, and make out to be ambassadors; and take worn out saqs on their he burros, and worn out and split and bandaged wine skins, 5 and worn out and patched shoes on their feet, and worn out clothes on themselves; and all the bread of their hunt is withered and crumbly. 6 And they go to Yah Shua to the camp at Gilgal, and say to him, and to the men of Yisra El, We come from a far land: and now cut a covenant with us.

Joshua 9:8

8 And they say to Yah Shua, We, your servants. And Yah Shua says to them, Who are you? Whence come you? 9 And they say to him, From a mighty far land your servants come; because of the name of Yah Veh your Elohim: for we hear of his fame, and all he works in Misrayim,

Joshua 9:9-10

9 And they say to him, From a mighty far land your servants come; because of the name of Yah Veh your Elohim: for we hear of his fame, and all he works in Misrayim, 10 and all he works to the two sovereigns of the Emoriy beyond Yarden - to Sichon sovereign of Heshbon, and to Og sovereign of Bashan at Ashtaroth: 11 and our elders and all the settlers of our land say to us, saying, Take hunt in your hand for the journey and go to meet them, and say to them, We, your servants: and now cut covenant with us.

Joshua 9:13

13 and we filled these skins of wine, new; and behold, they split: and these our clothes and our shoes; worn by the mighty great journey.

Joshua 9:15

15 and Yah Shua works shalom with them and cuts a covenant with them that they live: and the hierarchs of the witness oath to them. 16
SONS OF YISRA EL HONOR THEIR OATH And so be it, at the end of three days, after they cut a covenant with them, they hear they are neighbours settling among them. 17 And the sons of Yisra El pull stakes and come to their cities on the third day: and their cities are Gibon and Kephirah and Beeroth and Kirjath Arim:

Joshua 9:20

20 This we work to them - that they live lest rage be on us, because of the oath we oathed to them. 21 And the hierarchs say to them, They live; and become choppers of timber and bailers of water to all the witness; as the hierarchs had worded them.

Joshua 9:23

23 Now you are cursed, and none of you is cut off from being servants and choppers of timber and bailers of water for the house of my Elohim. 24 And they answer Yah Shua, and say, In telling, your servants were told how Yah Veh your Elohim misvahed his servant Mosheh to give you all the land, and to desolate all the settlers of the land from your face; and we awed mightily of our souls at your face and worked this word: 25 and now, behold, we are in your hand: and as seems good and straight in your eyes to work, work.

Joshua 9:27

27 And Yah Shua gives them that day to become choppers of timber and bailers of water for the witness and for the sacrifice altar of Yah Veh - even to this day in the place he chooses.

SONS OF MOAB AND AMMON COME AGAINST YAH SHAPHAT
And so be it, after this, the sons of Moab and the sons of Ammon and of the Ammoniy with them, come against Yah Shaphat to war. 2 And some come who tell Yah Shaphat, saying, A great multitude comes against you from beyond the sea on this side Aram; and behold, they are in Haseson Tamar - En Gedi. 3 And Yah Shaphat awes and gives his face to seek Yah Veh; and calls a fast over all Yah Hudah: 4 and Yah Hudah gathers to seek Yah Veh - even from all the cities of Yah Hudah they come to seek Yah Veh. 5 And Yah Shaphat stands in the congregation of Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem in the house of Yah Veh at the face of the new court, 6 and says, O Yah Veh Elohim of our fathers, Are you not Elohim in the heavens? Yes, you reign over all the sovereigndoms of the goyim! And force and might are in your hand so that no one is able to withstand you! 7 Are not you our Elohim who dispossessed the settlers of this land at the face of your people Yisra El? And gave it to the seed of Abraham your beloved eternally? 8 And they settle therein and build you a holies for your name, saying, 9 If, evil comes on us, as the sword, judgment or pestilence or famine we stand at the face of this house and at your face - for your name is in this house and cry to you in our tribulation; and you hear and save. 10 And now, behold, the sons of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom you gave not Yisra El to invade when they came from the land of Misrayim - for they turned aside from them and desolated them not: 11 - and behold, how they deal us, to come to expel us from the possession you gave us to possess. 12 O our Elohim, judge you them not? We have no force at the face of this great multitude who comes against us; and we know not what to work: but our eyes are on you. 13 And all Yah Hudah stands at the face of Yah Veh, with their toddlers, their women and their sons: 14 and the Spirit of Yah Veh comes upon Yachazi El the son of Zechar Yah the son of Bena Yah the son of Yei El the son of Mattan Yah - a Leviy of the sons of Asaph midst the congregation; 15 and he says, Hearken, all Yah Hudah, and you, settlers of Yeru Shalem, and you, sovereign Yah Shaphat: thus says Yah Veh to you: Neither awe nor terrify at the face of this great multitude; for the war is not to you, but to Elohim: 16 tomorrow descend against them: behold, they ascend by the ascent of Sis; and you find them at the end of the wadi at the face of the wilderness of Yeru El. 17 Fight not in this: Set yourselves! Stand! See the salvation of Yah Veh with you, O Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem: neither awe nor terrify: tomorrow go out at their face and Yah Veh is with you. 18 And Yah Shaphat bows with nostrils to the earth: and all Yah Hudah and the settlers of Yeru Shalem fall at the face of Yah Veh, and prostrate to Yah Veh: 19 and the Leviym of the sons of the Qehathiy and of the sons of the Qorachiy rise to halal Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El with a great voice on high. 20 And they start early in the morning and go to the wilderness of Teqoha: and as they go Yah Shaphat stands and says, Hear me, O Yah Hudah and you settlers of Yeru Shalem; Trust in Yah Veh your Elohim, amenable; trust his prophets, prosper. 21 And he counsels with the people, and he stands singers to Yah Veh to halal the majesty of holiness as they go from the face of the equipped saying, Spread hands to Yah Veh; for his mercy eternal. 22 And at the time they begin to shout and to halal Yah Veh lurks against the sons of Ammon, Moab and mount Seir, who come against Yah Hudah; and they smite one another: 23 and the sons of Ammon and Moab stand against the settlers of mount Seir to devote and desolate them: and they finish off the settlers of Seir, and each man helps to ruin his friend. 24 And Yah Hudah comes to Mispeh in the wilderness, and they face the multitude, and behold, their carcases fallen to the earth; and none escape. 25 And Yah Shaphat and his people come to plunder the spoil; and among the carcases, they find in abundance, both acquisitions and desirable instruments which they strip for themselves, without burden: and for three days they plunder the spoil - it is so much: 26 and on the fourth day they congregate in the valley of Berachah/Blessing; and there they bless Yah Veh: so they call the name of the place, The valley of Berachah/Blessing, to this day. 27 Then they return - every man of Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem with Yah Shaphat at their head - return to Yeru Shalem with cheer; for Yah Veh cheers them over their enemies: 28 and they come to Yeru Shalem with bagpipes and harps and trumpets to the house of Yah Veh: 29 and the fear of Elohim is on all the sovereigndoms of those lands, when they hear that Yah Veh fights against the enemies of Yisra El: 30 and the sovereigndom of Yah Shaphat rests: for his Elohim rests him all around.

Prospers he? Escapes he who works such? Or, breaks he the covenant and escapes? 16 I live - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh in the place of the sovereign who has him reign - whose oath he despises and whose covenant he breaks, dies he not with him midst Babel? 17 Not even Paroh with his great valiant and great congregation works for him in the war by pouring mounds, and building battering towers to cut off many souls: 18 seeing he despises the oath by breaking the covenant, and behold, he gives his hand to work all these; he escapes not. 19 So thus says Adonay Yah Veh: I live! My oath that he despises, and my covenant that he breaks, give I not on his own head? 20 And I spread my net on him and apprehend him in my lure; and I bring him to Babel, and there I plead with him for the treason he treasons against me: 21 and all his fugitives with all his bands fall by the sword; and scatter them who survive toward all winds: and you know that I Yah Veh have worded.
