PEOPLES UNITE AGAINST YAH SHUA AND YISRA EL And so be it, all the sovereigns on this side Yarden - in the mountains and in the lowlands and in all the havens of the great sea toward Lebanon - the Hethiy and the Emoriy the Kenaaniy the Perizziy the Hivviy and the Yebusiy hear thereof; 2 and they gather themselves together to fight Yah Shua and Yisra El with one mouth. 3
THE STRATEGY OF THE SETTLERS OF GIBON And the settlers of Gibon hear what Yah Shua worked to Yericho and to Ay, 4 and they work strategy, and come, and make out to be ambassadors; and take worn out saqs on their he burros, and worn out and split and bandaged wine skins, 5 and worn out and patched shoes on their feet, and worn out clothes on themselves; and all the bread of their hunt is withered and crumbly. 6 And they go to Yah Shua to the camp at Gilgal, and say to him, and to the men of Yisra El, We come from a far land: and now cut a covenant with us. 7 And the men of Yisra El say to the Hivviy, Perhaps you settle among us; and how cut we a covenant with you? 8 And they say to Yah Shua, We, your servants. And Yah Shua says to them, Who are you? Whence come you? 9 And they say to him, From a mighty far land your servants come; because of the name of Yah Veh your Elohim: for we hear of his fame, and all he works in Misrayim, 10 and all he works to the two sovereigns of the Emoriy beyond Yarden - to Sichon sovereign of Heshbon, and to Og sovereign of Bashan at Ashtaroth: 11 and our elders and all the settlers of our land say to us, saying, Take hunt in your hand for the journey and go to meet them, and say to them, We, your servants: and now cut covenant with us. 12 We took this bread from our houses, warm for our provision on the day we came to come to you; and now, behold, it withered and crumbled: 13 and we filled these skins of wine, new; and behold, they split: and these our clothes and our shoes; worn by the mighty great journey. 14 And the men take of their hunt, and ask not at the mouth of Yah Veh: 15 and Yah Shua works shalom with them and cuts a covenant with them that they live: and the hierarchs of the witness oath to them. 16
SONS OF YISRA EL HONOR THEIR OATH And so be it, at the end of three days, after they cut a covenant with them, they hear they are neighbours settling among them. 17 And the sons of Yisra El pull stakes and come to their cities on the third day: and their cities are Gibon and Kephirah and Beeroth and Kirjath Arim: 18 and the sons of Yisra El smite them not because the hierarchs of the witness oathed to them by Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El. And all the witness murmurs against the hierarchs. 19 And all the hierarchs say to all the witness, We oathed to them by Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: and now we are not able to touch them. 20 This we work to them - that they live lest rage be on us, because of the oath we oathed to them. 21 And the hierarchs say to them, They live; and become choppers of timber and bailers of water to all the witness; as the hierarchs had worded them. 22 And Yah Shua calls for them, and words to them, saying, Why deceived you us, saying, We are mighty far from you - when you settle among us? 23 Now you are cursed, and none of you is cut off from being servants and choppers of timber and bailers of water for the house of my Elohim. 24 And they answer Yah Shua, and say, In telling, your servants were told how Yah Veh your Elohim misvahed his servant Mosheh to give you all the land, and to desolate all the settlers of the land from your face; and we awed mightily of our souls at your face and worked this word: 25 and now, behold, we are in your hand: and as seems good and straight in your eyes to work, work. 26 And thus he works them, and delivers them from the hand of the sons of Yisra El that they not slaughter them: 27 And Yah Shua gives them that day to become choppers of timber and bailers of water for the witness and for the sacrifice altar of Yah Veh - even to this day in the place he chooses.
