⁹ O that the stars of the evening breeze darken; that it await light, but have none; that it not see the eyelids of the dawn;

¹⁶ or I had not been as a hidden miscarriage - as infants who never see light.

²⁰ Why gives he light to him in misery and life to the bitter soul;

¹⁶ They descend to the veins of sheol, we rest together in the dust.

²⁸ and cut a saying and it rises to you; and the light illuminates your ways.

¹⁸ he spares his soul from the pit of ruin and his life from the passing of the spear;

²⁰ his life loathes bread and his soul food of desire;

²² Yes, his soul draws near to the pit of ruin and his life to the deathifiers.

²⁴ then he grants him charism and says, Rescue him from descending to the pit of ruin; I have found a koper/an atonement.

¹⁹ He goes to the generation of his fathers; never to see light in perpetuity.

²³ And you, O Elohim, descend them into the well of the pit of ruin; men of bloods and deceit halve their days; but I confide in you.

¹⁵ may neither the water streams overflow me, nor the deep swallow me nor the well shut her mouth upon me.

A PROMISE OF LIGHT
The people, walking in darkness, see a great light: settlers in the land of the shadow of death, upon them the light illuminates.

¹⁷ Behold, for shalom I was bitterly embittered: and you attached to my soul from the pit of ruin: for you cast all my sins behind your back. ¹⁸ For neither sheol spreads hands to you, nor death halals you: they who descend into the well expect not your truth.

⁹ Yah Shua answers, Are there not indeed twelve hours in the day? Whenever anyone walks in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this cosmos:
