⁹ As for Yah Veh, - his eyes flit throughout the whole earth, strengthened in behalf of them whose heart is at shalom toward him. Herein you folly: from this time on you have wars.

²⁰ I sinned; what do I to you, O you guardian of humanity? Why set me as a target against you, so that I am a burden to myself?

⁹ For he said, Useless for the mighty to be pleased with Elohim.

⁴ Yah Veh is in his holy manse, the throne of Yah Veh is in the heavens; his eyes see; his eyelids proof the sons of humanity.

² Yah Veh, from the heavens, looks down on the sons of humanity, to see if there is one who comprehends and seeks Elohim.

⁷ The torah of Yah Veh is perfect, restoring the soul; the witness of Yah Veh is trustworthy, enwisening the gullible; ⁸ the precepts of Yah Veh are straight, cheering the heart; the misvah of Yah Veh is pure, enlightening the eyes;

¹²⁸ so I straighten all your precepts to be all right: I hate every false way.

¹ To His Eminence: A Psalm by David. O Yah Veh, you probed me and know; ² you know my settling and my uprising; you discern my intention afar off; ³ you winnow my path and my reposing and are accustomed to all my ways; ⁴ for there is not an utterance in my tongue. ⁸ The priests say not, Where is Yah Veh? and they who manipulate the torah know me not and the tenders rebel against me; and the prophets prophesy by Baal and walk after those who benefit not.

¹³ only, acknowledge your perversity, that you rebel against Yah Veh your Elohim and scatter your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and hearken not to my voice - an oracle of Yah Veh.

²⁴ Hides man himself in coverts that I not see him? - an oracle of Yah Veh. Fill I not the heavens and earth? - an oracle of Yah Veh.

¹⁸ In hearing, I hear Ephrayim wagging over himself; You disciplined me - disciplined me as a calf not trained: return me, and I return; for you are Yah Veh my Elohim. ¹⁹ Surely after I returned, I sighed; and after I was instructed, I slapped my flank: I shamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

²⁶ for what is a human benefited whenever he gains the whole cosmos and loses his own soul? Or what gives a human in exchange for his soul?

¹⁸ I rise and go to my father, and say to him, Father, I sinned against the heavens and in your sight; ¹⁹ and am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hirelings. ²⁰ And he rises, and comes to his father. and still being afar, his father sees him and has a sympathetic spleen and runs and falls on his neck and ardently kisses him: ²¹ - and the son says to him, Father, I sinned against the heavens and in your sight and am no more worthy to be called your son. ²² But the father says to his servants, Bring the preeminent stole and endue him; and give a finger ring on his hand and shoes on his feet;

¹³ And the customs agent, stands afar off, and wills not even so much as to lift his eyes to the heavens; but strikes on his chest, wording, Elohim, kapur/atone for me a sinner.

²¹ So what fruit had you in those whereof you are now ashamed? For the completion/shalom of those is death.

¹² So indeed the torah is holy and the misvah holy and just and good. ¹³
TWO NATURES UNDER THE TORAH
So has the good become my death? So be it not. But sin, manifest as sin, to work death in me through the good; so that through the misvah sin becomes exceeding sinful. ¹⁴ For we know the torah is spiritual: and I am fleshly, sold under sin.

¹⁶ So if I do what I not will, I assent with the torah that it is good.

²² For I delight in the torah of Elohim after the inward human:

⁸ whenever we say we have no sin we seduce ourselves and the truth is not in us: ⁹ whenever we profess our sins, he is trustworthy and just to forgive our sins and to purify us from all injustice: ¹⁰ whenever we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us.
