¹² because I rescued them who cried - the humble and the orphan and whoever had no helper.

²² Humble not any widow or orphan: ²³ if in humbling, you humble them and in crying, they cry to me, in hearing, I hear their cry; ²⁴ and I kindle my wrath and slaughter you with the sword; that your women become widows and your sons orphans.

¹⁸ who works the judgment of the orphan and widow and loves the sojourner in giving him bread and clothes.

² Yes, they who say, We, our sons and our daughters, are many; and we take crop to eat and live. ³ And they who say, We pledge our fields, vineyards and houses, to take crop for the famine. ⁴ And they who say, We borrowed silver on our fields and vineyards for the measure of the sovereign: ⁵ and now, our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers - our sons as their sons: and, behold, we subdue our sons and our daughters to be servants and some of our daughters are subdued: and El is not in our hands: for other men have our fields and vineyards. ⁶ And I inflame mightily when I hear their cry and these words: ⁷ and my heart reigns over me and I contend with the nobles and the prefects, and say to them, You bear interest - each man of his brother: and I give a great congregation against them. ⁸ And I say to them, With our ability we chatteled our brothers the Yah Hudiym who were sold to the goyim; And you, sell your brothers? - sell to us? - and they hush and find no word. ⁹ And I say, The word you work is not good: ought you not to walk in the awe of our Elohim because of the reproach of the goyim our enemies? ¹⁰ And also I - and my brothers and my lads, exact silver and crop of them: I beseech you, leave off this interest: ¹¹ restore to them, I beseech you, even this day, their fields, their vineyards, their oliveyards and their houses, silver to the hundredth, and of the crop, the juice and the oil, you exacted of them. ¹² And they say, We restore them and seek naught of them; thus we work as you say. And I call the priests and oath them to work according to this word: ¹³ and I shake my bosom and say, Thus may Elohim shake every man from his house and from his labor who raises not this word - even thus be he shaken out and emptied. And all the congregation says, Amen! - and halals Yah Veh; and the people work according to this word.

⁵ Is not your evil great? - your perversity endless? ⁶ Gratuitously you take a pledge from your brother and strip the naked of their clothing: ⁷ you give the languid no water to drink; you withhold bread from the famished. ⁸ The man of arm has the earth and the exalted face settles therein: ⁹ you send widows away empty and crush the arms of the orphan.

⁴ they pervert the needy from the way; the humble of the earth hide.

¹⁷ or eat my morsel myself alone and the orphan eats not;

²¹ if I shook my hand against the orphan when I saw my help in the portal;

⁵ Father of the orphan; pleader for the widows: Elohim in his holy habitation.

¹² For he rescues the needy who cries - the humble and he who has no helper;

² until when judge you wickedly and lift the faces of the wicked? Selah. ³ Judge the poor and orphan; justify the humble and impoverished; ⁴ slip away the poor and needy; rescue them from the hand of the wicked.

¹³ Whoever shuts his ears at the cry of the poor, calls, but is not answered.

¹¹ If you spare to rescue them who are taken to death and them who totter from the slaughter; ¹² if you say, Behold, we knew it not; Discerns he not, who gauges the heart? Knows he not, who guards your soul? - who returns to humanity according to his deeds?

¹⁶ he pleaded the cause of the humble and needy; - and for his good: Was this not to know me? - an oracle of Yah Veh.

²⁷ Pure and unpolluted ceremony with Elohim and the Father is this: To scope out the orphans and widows in their tribulation and to guard himself unstained from the cosmos.
