² He comes forth as a blossom, and is clipped; and he flees as a shadow, and stands not.

¹⁵ for we are sojourners at your face and settlers, as all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow and there is no expectation.

⁹ - for we are of yesterday and know naught, because our days on earth are a shadow.

²⁵ My days are swifter than a runner; they flee away; they see no good; ²⁶ they pass away as the ships of yearning - as the eagle pounces for food.

⁵ Floodborne, as asleep; in the morning, as grass that changes. ⁶ In the morning, flourishes and changes; in the evening, cut and withered: ⁷ for we are finished off by your wrath and terrified by your fury. ⁸ You set our perversities in front of you, our concealments in the light of your face. ⁹ For all our days turn face in your fury; we finish off our years as a meditation:

⁷ when the wicked blossom as the herbage and when all the doers of mischief flourish to be desolated eternally.

¹² The just blossom as the palm tree; he increases as a cedar in Lebanon:

¹¹ my days spread as a shadow; and I wither as herbage.

¹⁵ Man - his days are as grass - as a blossom of the field, thus he blossoms. ¹⁶ For the wind overpasses and is not; and recognizes the place no more:

⁴ Humanity is likened to vanity; his days are as a passing shadow.

¹³ but not good with the wicked: he prolongs not his days as a shadow; because he awes not at the face of Elohim.

⁶ A voice says, Call. And he says, What call I? All flesh is grass and all the mercy as the blossom of the field: ⁷ the grass withers; the blossom withers: because the spirit of Yah Veh blows thereon: surely the people is grass. ⁸ the grass withers; the blossom withers: but the word of our Elohim rises eternally.

¹⁰ and the rich in his humiliation: because he passes as the blossom of the herbage. ¹¹ For the sun rises with a scorch and withers the grass; and the blossom falls and destructs the befittingness of its face: thus also the rich fades in his ways.

¹⁴ whereas you understand not the morrow. For what is your life? It is indeed a vapour - manifests for a little - and then disappears.

²⁴ because all flesh is as herbage and all the glory of humanity as the blossom of herbage. The herbage withers and the blossom falls:
