THE BURDEN OF MOAB
The burden of Moab: Because in a night Ar of Moab is ravaged and rendered mute; because in a night Qir of Moab is ravaged and rendered mute:

² I am told a hard vision: the coverter coverts and the ravager ravages. Ascend, O Elam! Besiege, O Maday! I shabbathize all its sighing.

³⁵ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: Behold, I break the bow of Elam, the beginning of their might: ³⁶ and on Elam I bring the four winds from the four ends of the heavens; and winnow them toward all those winds; so that no goyim becomes where the expelled of Elam enter not. ³⁷ For I dismay Elam at the face of their enemies and at the face of them who seek their soul: and I bring evil on them - my fuming wrath - an oracle of Yah Veh and I send the sword after them until I finish them off: ³⁸ and I set my throne in Elam, and destroy there the sovereign and the governors - an oracle of Yah Veh. ³⁹ And so be it, in the latter days, I restore the captivity of Elam - an oracle of Yah Veh.

⁵ and I break the bar of Dammeseq and cut off the settler from the valley of Aven; and he who upholds the sceptre from the house of Eden: and exile the people of Aram to Qir, says Yah Veh.

⁷ Are you not as sons of the Kushiym to me, O sons of Yisra El? - an oracle of Yah Veh. Ascended I not Yisra El from the land of Misrayim? And the Peleshethiym from Kaphtor? And the Aramiym from Qir?
